For some reason I can't post a comment without using the reply to someone else's comment. I love this pattern and you always make the instructions so clear and easy to follow. Thank you, Glenda.
That yarn looks like it's a dream to work with. But then again, every toturial you put on looks so easy and dreamy. I'll never know, I just can't bring myself to pay that much for yarn. Lol😂😂😂
My gracious you are so quick, with the making of your blankets. I'm just getting ready to start my blanket with the evergreen. Can not work as fast as you. Making a continuous granny square. Blanket is beautiful. I bought 2 hopefully that will be enough. Have a great day.❤❤
Your blanket is so pretty. I like the rainbow colors. The pattern looks easy enough. I’ll put this on my list to try soon Thank you for sharing your tutorial. 🧶💜🙏🏻
Hi everyone! I love the yarn. It was so soft and cuddly. And this blanket will go to the Linus Project. Beware that this is not a tightly woven yarn and it unravels ALOT. Love your channel Glenda!! Your tutorials are the BEST!!
Thank you Glenda for the tutorial 😊! I have so many beautiful yarns in a 4 weight or 3 weight. I’m going to try this pattern in those😊! I really have to watch my yarn budget, so I gotta shop my stash 😊! Take care, Thanks again 🙏🏻🤗💕!
Oh wow, LOVE this simple blanket pattern. Looks easy & super effective. I’m thinking it would be absolutely perfect for a worsted-weight (#4) scrap blanket. Love it in the anniversary cake, but honestly, that yarn - beautiful as it looks- is a bit too heavy for me. But I can’t wait to try it out with some #4 yarn!! Thank you, Glenda. ❤
The yarn is super heavy, I would have preferred it is to a (4) weight myself. I have to say after working with the yarn I was a little disappointed in the quality of the yarn
@@CreativeGrandmaI think it's the same as their chunky cakes and those are bad. I made my first blanket with those and it got super pilly and stringy after just a couple of washes in an HE washer on gentle cycle and by itself. I only use that blanket to keep the cat from scratching up our futon couch's mattress in the guest bedroom now. It's frustrating that it doesn't hold up.
This is so very beautiful. I never found a good use for the anniversary cakes I got a while back. This is just the answer I was looking for. Thanks for the inspiration, Glenda!
I’m making this and it’s so easy and so so cute! I love your tutorials. I would love for you to do a tutorial on the cardigan yarnspirations has for this yarn on their website. I thought it was so adorable and I have the yarn ready to make it!!! 🎉
👋- hi. I just finished this following your pattern and it’s more like a throw size. Also - only used one of the Anniversary cakes, not two like you said in the video. It works up quick and it’s a nice finished piece!
Hi Glenda - always love your videos - thanks for sharing. (I bet Cody's on a mission working on those swatches!) WOW - so pretty - colors look great - I thought about getting the anniversary cake - good for a blanket, or tons of beanies and scarves! Gotta check it out so see how bulky the yarn is.. Have a nice day.. 🧶 :-)
@@CodyFromCreativeGrandma wow - you are the best - quite a trooper too :-) (maybe your sis could get in on the act some day - make it a family affair) Your Grandma loves you for it as we all do - hang in there! Look forward to your video showing us your work , thank you! :-)
You make the swatches, why dont we see you making the swatches? Grandma always shows making swatches. Just Saying.........film while you make swatches, Cody....Seems like Grandma does everything....just saying.@CodyFromCreativeGrandma
no she films stitch of the weeks and tutorials to teach people how to make things. We have never filmed the making of the swatches mainly because it takes many many hours. I spent 12 plus hours making swatches for each video. You are ill informed and i don't appreciate you assuming. You have no idea the amount of my time and effort i have put into this channel.
Yes, you would need to make a larger starting chain using her multiples at the beginning of the tutorial 😊! That’s what I plan on doing, along with a few more border rows😁! Give it a try😃!
Hi Creative Grandma love your channel. I was wondering if you haven’t done a premier shimmer Yarn swatch sample could you and Cody do one. Would like to see how it looks. Thank you
After reading these comments, I may not make this throw. I'm disappointed. I was looking forward to it This yarn did work up really well for the scrappy tote that was on the label. It's a tight stitch for a tote bag obviously so it worked up well for that
Hi my friend. I ordered this yarn online as soon as i saw it on your video but i gotta tell you, i was so disappointed with the texture that i returned it to michaels. I found it to be too soft and lifeless. Its like it was pressed or rolled....coukdnt see the 4 little strands. It also, to me, didnt feel like a bulky yarn. However, tge colors were beautiful. I hope this will be helpful. Luv u an cody. Keep tge great tutorials coming. I will make this lovely pattern with maybe a varigated red heart. ❤❤❤❤❤
I have to say after working with the yarn I was a little disappointed in the quality of the yarn. I wish it eould have been a 4 or 5 weight (6) weight is a little to heavy that is why I used the V stith to lighten it up a little
@@CreativeGrandma i agree. I loved the colors and pattern but the yarn felt as though it might not hold up after washing. Im definately going to search for other yarn for this pattern. Herrschners had a gorgeous worsted 8 oz, 4 ply in bright colors 'Chromatic', but sadly its discontinued. I made an afghan with it and gave it as a gift....wanted to make one for myself and now its not available
@@CreativeGrandmaThanks for this information, Glenda, I will find a #4 weight yarn for this pattern. I appreciate all of your hard work! MaryAnne in New Mexico 🌶 USA
@@Oceangirl_505 thanks. I will definatelt check. You might want to check and see if you like it. Its really bright but not gaudy. I did the sara sach scrap happy chevron using chromatic and black (1 strand of each). It was gorgeous. Thanks for your reply. Xo
Hi Glenda! May I ask why a HDC at the beginning and end of the DC row? Is it so that the edges are neater/flatter? I know you’ve been crocheting many years. I wish my mom was still alive to teach me what she knew, but I depend on TH-cam creators. Thanks in advance for your answer. And like many others, I am so enjoying your videos with Cody. I love the way you relate to each other. Greetings from Florida. ❤
It's beautiful! But I am not used to using big yarn! Is it heavy? Does it feel soft? It just looks so bulky lol. They have beautiful colors in that yarn though

Love this yarn. Your pattern seems easy enough for an absolute beginner.
Beautiful I think I would have used a solid matching color for the border instead of purchasing another anniversary cake due to the price of the cake

Is this blanket soft or is it thick and unbendable (if you know what I mean)?
It's not at my local Michaels. At least it wasn't there a day ago.😢
Hopefully it comes to your Michaels soon
I can’t find this yarn anywhere online.
It should be on the Michaels.com website
Pretty blanket but I can't see spending $40. I'll wait for a big sale.
You do any other blanket, by the time you buy enough yarn for the project, you will probably spend at least the same by the time you get enough for the project! Just you buy an Anniversary cake, you are getting enough in one or two “skeins”.
What size blanket will this tutorial make ?
Expensive yarn $39 pretty tho
