This song brings me back so many years. My mother passed away when I was 39, but I was blessed to have another older lady who helped me through my pain. Mrs Williams lived until she was 96, and she LOVED that song. Even at the end in the nursing home, she still wanted me to sing that song. I'm so blessed to have known her all those years. She's resting in the arms of Jesus, and I know she's safe. Hallelujah!

I love Jessy and I never got to see him as a young man, but he is the only best Gospel Singer ever and he is definitely in Heaven for the way he sings about God and the way he has blessed people who have known him for all his songs and how he makes his lyrics to be able to speak to everyone in their lives. September 26, 2011 was a truly sad day for us. It took this long for me to comment on it without feeling extremly sad to the point of anger. Seems like there was so many choices, why him, but my brother who is older by 3 minutes seems to have more understanding about the workings of G O D than I and assured me there must have been a reason. As I listen to Jessy Dixon PRAISING God in his soulful, spirit- filled music ministry, and it started early and continued for over 50 years, it's a wonder that God didn't Call his Name earlier. What more could Jessy do to spread the Gospels through his sung- preached words, bringing so many to Christ and preparing them for the Kingdom to also be able. "...to sit at His feet and be Blessed". I believe that Jessy was Called after he had "finished all the work of the service of the house of the Lord...." Having said all of that, I truly regret not being able to have been acquainted with him and his ministry much sooner and not being able to be in his presence when he was performing. But I have to keep my Faith and Trust in God Who brought us here in the first place, and Who has a place "In Bright Mansions Above" prepared for those who Believe on Him and in the resurrection of His son, Jesus Christ. For Jesus told his disciples, " I go to prepare a place for you, that where I am, you may be also. If it were not so, I would have told you." Hallelujah! In Jeremiah 1:5, God told him that He knew him before He formed him in his mother's womb. So Jessy was all right here on Earth, and he's all right in the Heavenly places, still being kept in God's Eternal Care. HALLELUJAH!! I hope to meet him there!

In the 60's he had a song entitled "I will never turn back no more" and if there is anyone who can help me get a recording of this song i would really appreciate it. I believe the Chicago Community Choir was his back up on this song. I have followed him for a long time and always enjoyed his singing. Thanks to anyone who can help me find this song or would post it on you tube.
