One thing Chris Barnes does very well is sportsmanship. It started here and never stopped.
Now EJ’s following in his footsteps
Man it hit my heart to watch Brian Himmler thank Bill Crispin… RIP Bill…
I love watching these old telecasts!

Barnes is definitely not someone that comes to mind when thinking about sportsmanship for me.

@@enigmazero8624 he does give it to ya in the heat of the moment. But he also seems to care about the sport. We might disagree. Have you met him?

      I have not met him.
He absolutely cares about the sport and I very much appreciate his dedication and knowledge. He might have the greatest mind for bowling of any top player ever and I respect that very much as someone who has always tried my best to learn all I can about equipment and all aspects of the sport.

Barnes has never struck me as being great at sportsmanship. He kind of just does the bare minimum like WRW. Unlike Walter, Barnes can be a hothead. He has broken equipment in a bowling center I used to work at.

@@theBatmanGoeth2 I have heard this from other sources. I’m gonna guess that in his 50s he’s slowed that down. And like WRW, he’s embraced that 2 hands are the future of the sport so that’s why one of his sons was encouraged to do it. Ryan is going to remind a lot of people of what Chris was like on tour in his younger years.
I’ve heard other non-flattering things about Chris Barnes but because I’ve met him personally on a few occasions I don’t hold that against him.

Brian Himmler had a fantastic performance. Also, this was the 1st televised Appearance of Chris Barnes in the Stepladder Finals of the Albuquerque Open.
