Shutting the R32 Sensor Off when Using an R32 Furnace to Replace one in an Existing R 410A System

  • All of the NEW Goodman and Amana R32 Gas Furnaces, 80%, 92%, 96%, & 97%, are equipped with a control board capable of shutting off the gas heat and turning on the blower fan in case of an R-32 refrigerant leak in the indoor evaporator coil.
    If the R32 furnace is replacing an existing furnace in an AC system that does not utilize R-32 refrigerant, the R-32 functionalities in the furnace control board will need to be turned off for the furnace to operate. Failure to do this will cause the furnace not to operate and give an EAF Error code.
    This only applies when pairing the R32 furnace with other than R32 AC Equipment

      Pressure switch circuit is closed at start of heating cycle, Pressure switch contacts sticking, Short in pressure switch circuit wiring
      Replace low stage pressure switch, Repair short in wiring
