My kids and I listened to Mother Mother in the car when I would pick them up for their time with me. Now since the kids have been totally alienated from me, this song says it all....like one of the main songs in the soundtrack of my life....The "roads I go down" are the memories with my kids, beautiful song. .. thank you for it.
Very impressive! I'd be pretty darn proud of my bro too. Lucky lot, you few that were all present at that seemingly private, intimate show. Amazing acoustics, for what looks to be such a tight and tiny space! Well done!
Absolutely LOVE this acoustic version!!! Never heard of Mother Mother before. Hearing them for the first time here, on youtube. Bonus, just learned they're from Canada! Very catchy song. Favourite bits... the backing vocals & from 3:23 on. Nicely filmed as well. Note to self, gotta get me an acoustic bass guitar and a cajon! Great stuff! 10/10
i love how they play where ever they go. I saw some acoustic ones of Ryan and the girls on the side of the street, just pure love for what they do. Unlike some Johny Mayer shit where he asks for $20 bucks if you want an autograph from him... Some twats these days.. MOTHER MOTHER FO LYFE \m/
A bit of this reminded me of Jeff Buckley, that vocal fluidity and the simplicity of the song only added to it. So glad this band is out there!!! Now if only they would ever come to my town to play...
Ya and its called excellent recovery. Lots of people would not of noticed but when musicians like that give that little smirk its because they know they did something different. I say different because it sounded good anyways :)
Nickleback is a band from here (US) that unfortunately started to ruin the music scene for us..if you look up the definition of extreme mainstream shitty music you'd find their picture all over the dictionary.
I love how confident and natural they are. And what great musicians. They are in it for the music for sure. They remind me a bit of the Pixies.
big influence
ryan said they were a big influence
They sound almost exactly the same in real life as they do in the studio versions of their songs
