Yes!!! This was their first live and it was a good 18 months before the anime came into part. So basically these girls were launched in 2010 and they didn’t really have a main story or personality. Look at their first 4 singles and you’ll see a difference in certain things. Nico was the main costume maker instead of Kotori, Nozomi was a klutz, and Umi was Nozomi to Eli then. Back then, fans just voted on who they wanted as center and so many things were different. The art style was also much different. Then the anime came into play and absolutely blew up!!! Everything from the anime is pretty much considered canon, so differences you have seen have mostly been changed. The anime was definitely the turning point because it hit bigger than anyone expected it to and they went from performing in small venues to saitama super arena.

If I remember right 2012. since the anime came out in Jan 2013. From what I read, they got the first season anime announcement at this Live.
