I honestly don’t think that BTS is anything like 1D. They are completely different in style, personalities, dancing, and singing. Honestly BTS is better than 1D.
Why is seven members so much? Like one direction had 5 members two more wouldn't make a difference ... and obviously they don't look the same .. and with the dumb question why do they dye their hair hm idk because they want to like why is your hair long? Nope, their skin are good, but they are just like ours, with a lot of imperfections, you can easily see on the videos on the internet where they have no makeup, they are really different from the videos, they aren`t even close to be as pretty, but they are naturally pretty, but far, from flawless, that can easily be said about everyone in the world tho, but that is that saying, make up will make even the most ugly person in the world, a beatiful person.

Of course I'm not surprised that your friends thought they all might look like the same person, I thought that way the first time I was exposed to Kpop and many people think that way, too, and this kind of MV brings out that kind of reaction from non-Kpop fans, typically, in my opinion, because I think it's more of an abstract concept with DNA and not really a concept you really have a solidified object to show besides yourself and DNA molecules. Just my thoughts, though!
You should bring up the English translations, Josh! They almost always have English translations in the videos! Maybe that'll help them understand the meaning more. I hope you get them to react to more songs and hopefully they'll get into it more! Definitely show them BTS's Mic Drop Steve Aoki remix because I'm feeling that right now, LOL. I'd love to see your friends react to "older" Kpop songs from other groups like Big Bang.
