i always run the led tape in the aluminium profiles you can buy, bit more of a faf to fit but IMO gives a better finish and diffuses the light for more of a glow. not very expensive so can keep some in the van for the smaller runs
I put socket on top of the top kitchen cabinet that i control with switch, then run 16mm conduit to one bottom corner of that cabinet and solder low voltage cable to my led strip. I can leave the driver on top of the cabinet. Also always run my led strip in aluminium profile, it last much longer this way, it has a bit of heat resist if/when the strip is left on long time.
I believe (but don't quote me on it - check it) that if you have a warning sign like car parks do about penalty charges, you can actually apply PCNs to those who park there. Same with your home driveway - but only if you have the approved wording on your sign. Bit long winded, but enforcement notices can keep many away!
So right , thinking ahead on ,under cupboard and above cupboard lights ...A few mts. of cable left on cupboard in j box...other end in wagos , in switch box...Pennies / tip when you snip c.ties in such places , rotate the cut to back of cable etc...Mrs. Mopp. cleans under c,board...its like a razor...😮
That was a good watch. Made even better by the moment you talked about the Anker Solix coming with an extra battery and the TH-cam algorithm kicking in and showing a LoveHoney ad at that exact point. Literally buzzing for the next vid/vlog.
I rember years ago my gaffer & I went round to install a light fitting turnd out she bought a varano shandalier bought in Venice got it home we spent a day & a half building the light her ceiling was about 8 ft long stotry short we built & fitted the shandalier only for it to hang about 4ft from ceiling so it had to go get laser cut to be able to fit in room that light was a beast but we got it done 😊
Road works all over in our town too Nick . Put a clamping sign on door get a clamp and charge them £80 to take it off sorted. How come your working alone now Nik???
It’s none of my business how people design their own kitchens but it really annoys me when people either don’t have wall units and instead have miles of plain white wall or they have wall units without pelmet lighting. For me pelmet lighting is the most important lighting to get right in a home. I also love how people think it’s acceptable to park over my driveway when they’re going to my neighbours houses. The amount of times I have to tell people to park over the house that they’re visiting is ridiculous. What is wrong with people?
Technically anyone can just park on your drive and there’s nothing you can do so I don’t think you can throw bricks at them either 😂 Only bit of Stafford that fucks me up is the island McPhillips have closed off to get to the M6 can’t even do U turns at the lights now because they’ve fully blocked it off so I have to pretend I’m turning into some nursing home or something, right ballache.
How do power electrical compare in price to screwfix? Didn’t even realise we had one in Rugeley, feel like you’ve done a video on this but I can’t remember the results other than I think you slated CEF 😂
Nick. Please don't put that sign up, it coould be taken as a positive threat which would be again't the law. You could put a sign up saying that access is needed between the hours of XXX to XXX please do not park in front of the shutters.
im sorry to say this, and I mean no disrespect, but I find your videos have way too much talking and not showing enough electrical work. Im not sure what your aim is with the videos, maybe this is your aim, but personally, I prefer to see work in progress and explanations as to what is happening. i dont mean this nastily, its just what i think. cheers

Also COB lef strip looks so much better, especially if they have a shiny backsplash.

been watching for a while, love it, training to be an electrician myself at 46 , so nice to see the real world
Good on ya 👍
Never put my drivers under the cupboards ,always on top. Plus you could have used one driver instead of 3. Save a few quid.
Bulb's! Did you just say that? Outrageous 😮

Nice kitchen and a nice big house that’s how to extend a house , ( I presume that is an extension) 👍
Under cabinet LX feeds! That's a good idea I'll remember that when I get my kitchen rebuilt (it just burnt down on Thursday 😭)

Today we witnessed someone who needs to go and have a pint in a beer garden .
