    After applying an arithmetic operation to two operands and getting a result, you can use this procedure to improve your confidence that the result is correct.
    Sum the digits of the first operand; any 9s (or sets of digits that add to 9) can be counted as 0.
    If the resulting sum has two or more digits, sum those digits as in step one; repeat this step until the resulting sum has only one digit.
    Repeat steps one and two with the second operand. You now have two one-digit numbers, one condensed from the first operand and the other condensed from the second operand. (These one-digit numbers are also the remainders you would end up with if you divided the original operands by 9; mathematically speaking, they're the original operands modulo 9.)
    Apply the originally specified operation to the two condensed operands, and then apply the summing-of-digits procedure to the result of the operation.
    Sum the digits of the result you originally obtained for the original calculation..
    If the result of step 4 does not equal the result of step 5, then the original answer is wrong. If the two results match, then the original answer may be right, though it isn't guaranteed to be. www.gargunivers... Check out Ebook "Mind Math" from Dr. Garg

    X is the rate of the profit as a floating point number for your investment.
    For example X can be 0.1 or 0.76.
    Proper way to calculate how much times it will take to multiply your money by a:
    f(t) = (1+x)^t = a where t is time
    (1+x)^t = a || log
    log( (1+x)^t ) = log(a)
    t log (1+x) = log(a) || :log(1+x)
    t = log(a)/(log(1+x) (log means that it will work with any logarithm)

    Good Video. For multiplying by 11, it would be better to start the addition from the right side (i.e. the units side). Similarly, for 12 the calculations can be better done from the right side.

    i didn't get how u r caluculating the rule 72, 1.1^7.2 = 1.9862 it is still not approximating 2, is there any mistake in my view?? please clarify it

    • @laramie123
      @laramie123  11 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      1.9862 is approximately 2. Rule of 72 is to get approximate numbers of years for money to double at a given interest rate. Please looks for "Rule of 72" on my channel with detailed explanation.

    I am trying to do that cube root trick but somehow I cant. I did what you said but sadly I cant seem to get it right. Like cube root of 431822 according to you would be, 431 that is 7 and 822 ( ends with 2 ) so it will be 8. So it should be 78. But its not.. Am i missing something?

    • @laramie123
      @laramie123  11 ปีที่แล้ว

      This trick will only work for perfect cubes. You can calculate cube root of 438976
      and 421875 using this trick. 431832 is in between these two number and its cube root is not an integer.
