I am not sure why so much anger towards Ryan, her parents and sister were very mich to blame. Ryan had nothing to do with her, why would he interfere?

@@sydneydavis4870 I agree, why else have her sent away so suddenly. It was because of him, something about her he didn't like. Maybe he thought she didn't quite fit in. Having to see her at social gatherings, family functions, or what not. Like a loose thread in an otherwise perfect tapestry.
I’m so confused what did Ryan do to her. All this anger towards him when it was her parents and sister that didn’t want her around????? So what about her Aunt she didn’t even invite her to the wedding????? Did she even do something for her?????? She forgot her aunt existed just like her parents forgot about her. Runs in the family I guess 🫤 She knew her Aunt couldn’t do much because she didn’t have much but no once in this story did she do anything for her with the wealth she got.
Ok i looked at the comments and its clear some people are just too stupid to see why she said it's not revenge but for freedom.

When they sent her away they knew how bad the condition was.
The fact that she would have to work 2 jobs just to survive .
Also when she was leaving they already expected she would either die or forever be working poor.
What they didn't expect was her will to live to be so strong and to break free.
The Female lead was right it wasn't about revenge.
The party was about showing that her family picked the wrong daughter to support and they can no longer control her anymore and everything they once held in great value now belongs to the daughter they threw away.
As for why she let the guy keep %20 of the company?
From the sounds of it the company was a decent size so letting him keep %20 is just giving him a chance to prove he will be of use to his new boss .
Alsoits a good little warning to say - i destroyed my family who crossed me and you can be next if not carful -
She also owns the company so she can kick him out at any time so giving him some shares can also be seen as a sine of mercy.
Then evil parents and this evil sister and evil Ryan they don't care if something happened to her and she work hard what she got with Noah and she will never look back
I wish she had more resentment for her parents and her sister than for ryan , but i understand to some extent that she felt betrayed, that he knew how she was being treated and how they were abandon her and as her brother in law if he had spoken up for her maybe her parents would not have make such a drastic move to kick her out but as the end of the day her parent and her sister should be the one held responsible for their actions. But she thought that maybe he could have helped her as he was rich because her parents were trying to please him in every possible way . Ryan was held more accountable than her parent and sister because he was rich, which is unfair to a certain extent. She said it was not revenge was a lie .. then why aquire 80% of his company without giving him the opportunity to make a come back . Anyhow, she was bitter and hurt ,she had all right to be so but punish the people who truly deserve it .. her mother ,father, and sister .they were utterly shameless.
Well, this guy did run a billion dollar company into the dirt, so he was clearly incompetent.
@AMPMASTER10 The main point of this story is about her getting justice and proving to her family that she was not worthless , and they were wrong for abandoning her , however, she punished her brother in law more than her family . Although he was wrong for not standing up for her , her neglect and mistreatment started way before he wven started dating her sister . I just thought she targeted her brother in law more than her parents and sister
@sharonram2000 i was referring to the part where you said where she took over his company without giving him a chance for a comeback. It's not a good idea to let someone who's not up to it run a billion dollar company. And seeing how it went under his control... bad idea.
But yeah, he didn't deserve the hate he got.

I love how the FL never gave up even with it looks bad. Everyone has that moment that they want to give up... then to have the strength to say NO, let’s keep moving forward. In addition, the final icing on the cake. Keeping her family finances alive just enough... so they always remember who is supporting them. That they will always be financially dependent on her. Just the thought that if they ever do anything bad against her, she can always take it away. She may not think it was revenge but in a way it’s kind of is. She may not need them... but they will always need her. Remembering her.

Useless story...the way she's obsessed over getting revange on her sisters husband as if he made a big mistake not choosing her back then.
She didn’t get revenge on lion. She just showed him up because her family picked Ryan over her. She didn’t revenge on him. She just showed that she was better than he was.
What's with MC at the beginning? She knew her parents didn't care about her, yet she freaking out and still want to stay with them? Why? Was she like to be neglected? 😅

Story was def dramatic but it’s actually fairly common and a natural impulse for children to want to stay with their parents in most cases, even if they’re neglectful (I think I abuse may be different or a bit more complex tho). Kids are literally hardwired to love their parents and it’s hard to override that, even as adults for lots of people

Yeah being abandoned with a relative you know nothing about, torn away from your friends, taken from your familar environments, and a stable environment. Her "parents" for lack of better term weren't physically abusive or even outright verbally abusive. They ignored her. She had her basics taken care of, and most children WANT their parents love. It makes sense.
She is crazy to gave him 20 percent of the company she bought the company from him that's just to dumb ..and why the story didn't say when she got rich she help the aunt that would made her Parents jealous
Why so angry at the brother in law? He didn’t even know his sister in law as far as the story was told. The parents and sister should have been her targets not the poor schmuk who was destroyed by a lousy marriage. Of course it was revenge otherwise why not just let it all go and live her best life.Didn’t much like this FL. Story didn’t make sense.

I sort of understand why Ryan is getting stray bullets on this. It is to the end of the story. It's one thing for your family to betray you. But when someone outside the family sees the abuse but does nothing, it hurts worse. Like they are supporting the abuse by doing nothing. Ryan benefitted from her abuse. I could also understand why she ignored the aunt. Woman probably knew why the parents sent her and did nothing. This is a story of the consequences of not standing up, directly and indirectly, for someone who is being abused.
I have nothing to say about her family, but I feel she should at least give her aunt some money for trying to take care of her! Even if she could barely take care of herself!😢

I read the transcript and nothing there to say he rejected her, cheated her, had a relationship with her, mistreated her. I thought that it was because he was a silent accomplice, witness or the reason for the family's terrible actions toward her. Edited: Now that I think about it more, I think she wanted to show her family that Ryan, the holy grail that was the reason for throwing her away, was bested by her. They bet on the wrong horse.
I think it is simply because he never try to stop her parents and sister from abandoning her , she thought as someone who has so much influence over her family had made a stand for her ,her life would have been so horrible. He saw her despair, her pain and suffering, and as her brother in law he never helped . Also, he was the person they were trying to please ... but her parents and sister are the main culprits . Also, Ryan is their life source .. he holds the key to her family's happiness, so she had to target him

Why are all these stories based on eastern ideologies and thinking. I've listened to a number of stories now and all their thinking is based on Eastern ideals and thinking in every Chinese novel I've read, superficial, money orientated oldest child or one child in particular is the most important, the rest throw away. How about some originality.

What's the point of this story? No revenge, no repercussion for the heartless parents and sister, but revenge on the BIL? Make it make sense.

You could've gotten revenge on your parents and sister without involving Ryan. Firstly Ryan didn't do anything to you second, you act like Olivia is working at the company when she probably a stay at home wife.
this story was holding on by a thread but now it's just dumb for the sheer fact that you need to mess with the man who didn't do anything to you.
