So, I’m just coming back to the game after several year break and this guide really helped. There are some current changes, currently, on a new Star fleet delta recruit, you can’t skip the tutorial. It took me just over half an hour to get a new character to earth space dock. But once I did, I immediately claimed my warship, it took me 3 elite patrols to hit 21. I took my time stripping her. A total of 1 hour work. I was only able to buy 4 doffs and they all where junkets but between the EC from the boxes, and r&d materials, I still walked away with just over 3mil and 8k dil. Still not bad for 1 hour. Considering I could have got lucky on the doff and made much more, I still view this method as a viable alternative. Thanks man!
I might have to get this ship, I kinda do a method like this with the flight deck carrier, mostly because theres weapons behind the "locked" ones in front and they still seem to fire. but your method seems to get it through faster.

Today Cryptic announced an 'update' is coming to Delta recruit rewards, we will see what this means but I wouldn't be surprised if they remove the fleet marks as a reward option for Delta recruits, and possibly more.
Nurfed? Are you sure? I still regularly use this and especially on recruitment weekend, and it takes me just 3 patrols to get to level 21+ Just make 3 new characters at once, then use each one alternately, that way when you get back to character one the rescue and search mission is constantly available, basically two hours of non stop destruction, nets me 12 to 14 million EC, 3 times 8000 fleet marks and a combined dil pool of about 60,000 to be farmed off the characters over the next 3 days. That’s without the EC made from the Dofs purchased with the fleet credits, but I also post them out to my other characters on the account and my two alt accounts. Disclaimer, I obviously have all the special recruits, Temporal, Delta, Gamma and Klingon, with all the rewards fully maxed out.
As far as leveling goes, I use research duties (the kind you get from the research items). About 20-24 of them will take you from start to 65, for 80m or so and 4 hours wait. That's on PC, not sure how it'd do on console. Console does have a nice looking interface!
I would love to know how to do this. Not really worried about the lith but to lvl up an alt this fast. I am on pc maybe that has to do with it but I have to run the tutorial everytime I make a new character and it drives me crazy. Any info would be great.

I have been getting angry messages from people who have been doing this but are afraid this video will get it patched out. I am unsympathetic, here is how I replied to one on reddit. "Ya well I figure if it's only whales using it and keeping it secret from the rest of the community then I'm fine with it getting fixed. I have no doubt that plenty of sto youtubers use it then go on to make monetized videos about how to do tour the galaxy to make ec. They get all the benefit while making money off the average player being desperate to make EC while they show off all their lockbox ships, and lie about how they've acquired them. Makes me feel like Robin Hood tbh
Unless I missed the boat, Fleet Purple Duty Officers are bound on pickup (PC). I'm not sue how that works on console. Am I missing something on this or was it patched out? I did find two version of the nurse with the 20% hull regen on the exchange, selling for around 12 million EC each Fed side and the Medic versions (KDF) selling for about 25 million each, so I know the Doffs do exist.
Thanks Marty. No it doesn't have to be any special recruit, any character on your account can redeem the reward boxes I open at the end of the video. But! Those reward boxes come from getting unlocks with special recruits (like the delta recruit and temporal agent) so if you don't have any, you can't do it in 20 min like I do in the video. I will be recording a new video showing quick ways to make EC for new players or players without special recruits, stay tuned!
A TOS character would have to complete the five TOS missions to then transfer to Spacedock, taking about 80 minutes(?) and getting to level 10. Won't be able to do any patrols (or get the Zen ship?) while in the past. Same with Discovery characters. Or Jem'Hadar (you have to play 20 hours to get recruit rewards). Stick with plain Starfleet.
So to get the rewards does the temperal recruit needs to have completed the missions himself 1st? For example my temperal recruit is only level 16 but my main character is lol 65
You get these reward boxes from completing various activities in the game with your recruit character, so yes, the reward boxes I am collecting are mostly from completing low level story arcs with my recruit. Others are from making progress in other areas like reputation, admiralty, and r&d
I'm not particular about carrers but if Viacom wuld turn it to were the ships you own can be put into a fleet and farm the fleet slots then I'd do it that way
Pretty sure this does NOT work for NEW Players: Just saying... You need your own fleet with substantial unlocks or be in someone else (higher level) fleet that doesn't mind you constantly joining /leaving with toons. this is more an end game thing unless your lucky enough to find a established fleet. the ones I got invites for (approx 6), have all been at level 1 or lower. doubt they have unlocks for the Bridge officers yet ?
You do need to level a delta recruit or other similar special recruit to make this work, but once you have them the event does not need to be active for you to use this method
Great video. I have only ever used my recruit rewards for leveling up my own fleet due to lack of people wanting to join. Some quick suggestions. I'm about a 4th of the way in and you have yet to mention that having the recruit rewards is a requirement. That would be one of the first things I would have mentioned. Being upfront about how it's done and what is required is important as to not have people perceive time invested in watching said video was a waste of their time. Also, as someone who likes to listen to videos at work, your game audio is very loud. Almost overpowering your voice and certainly not pleasant to my ears. Other than those two issues, your video is great and logic is sound. Thanks for teaching me something new.
Thank you for the feedback, I like listening to videos while I'm playing and good audio is huge for me. So my mic and audio setup is a huge sore spot for me. If I'm going to keep making videos I intend to setup something better for recording. I also think I rebalanced the background audio in my new videos, let me know how it is
@@BrandonBlackmoor Sort of. In order to take advantage of this, you'll need to have 4 specific recruit characters. Delta, Temporal, Klingon and Gamma. All of these events run once a year for a month at a time. Once you make the character and get them recruit status, you'll need to also complete all their challenges to unlock the account rewards. So there is a lot more required to do this than was initially said in the first few minutes of the video. That's what my comment was speaking on.
You can do it once a day, or week, or however many times a day as you want. If you want to make 100 mil a day, you would probably have to make 6 or 7 toons but you could get lucky on your first go and get a purple duty officer that is worth 70 million.
Just like to ask how your Jem'hadar wingmen are dealing so much damage in elite. Every time I use the strafing maneuver they deal far less than even a thousand damage. There something i'm missing or have they seemingly been nerfed?
It used to be that the account bank cost Zen to unlock on your account on PC, in fact I think it was about the same time they released the game on console that they changed that, I have an alt account that I have never spent Zen on and that account has an account bank, it doesn't have very many slots in it, I think 10 or 12 slots I don't remember right off, but because I did buy the account bank with my main account my main account has double the number of slots as my free-to-play account has, so basically when they added the account bank for free on PC because I'd already bought the account bank for my main account they gave my main account extra account bank slots.
How do you do that from lvl 1. I tried patrols at lvl 5 and got destroyed so many times i stopped playing for awhile. If my endeavors were maxed and payed a crap ton of money maybe. But this is impossible for a new player.
It helps MASSIVELY if your main toon has a high endevour level, this means ALL your alts benefit from having way higher bases (critD, critH, hull, etc etc) than a non endevour fresh toon.
So wait you made a new Federation character that could obtain a T6 Jem'Hadar ship right off the bat? Is that because you have a Jem'Hadar character allied with the Federation?
Get a jem hadar ship from store and use use it on your jem until you max out the ship mastery then you can use it on any toon you want at any level and the ships slots unlock as you level
Great video but even with elite settings, my characters are levelling up far slower, for example, your character goes from 0 to almost level 3 simply by talking to the admiral, the first task… mine just go to almost level 1… I get to almost level 2 by equipping the kit, almost level 3 for the third task at the academy, basically your character was levelling up twice as fast? You’re at level 6 when you start the first patrol, what am I doing wrong?
Hey buddy, you're not doing anything wrong, I recorded this video during the bonus xp event last week on PS4, which cuts the number of patrols you needed to do down to 3. Now its taking me 5 patrols if I get lots of kills in each. Sorry I briefly mentioned the extra xp but this is my first commentary, I did this unscripted. It is dirty quick with the xp event active. Probably taking me about 35 min now, which is still a haul of dil and EC for 35 min farming.
@@grindergaming4572 Yeah I’m almost down to 5 patrols, it’s all about positioning the ship for the wing man attacks, I’m just doing it once a day but I’ve got maxed out Gamma, Temporal and Delta recruits so make about 6k fleet marks, I’m also doubling up on the refined dilithium by making it the last thing I do just before midnight (uk time) when the system resets so i can refine twice 👍
Niiice. If I have to do a 6th patrol I usually just dip for a few quick kills, and abort as soon as I hit 21. That is awesome I wish I had more characters from recruit events, I'm looking forward to the next one!
No as soon as you hit level 21 with a normal toon alot of the boxes will unlock. If you use a Jem'hadar the boxes are locked until you play for 20 hours
I have about 8 lvl 65 characters, always struggled with making dilithium and ec in any real quantities. Also ill have to watch vids on how to craft efficiently so i dont waste mats.
If you play one for any meaningful amount of time at 65 you will eventually have more unrefined dil than you know what to do with. I have 4 level 65’s that have over 500k unrefined on each of them right now.
@@blackyvertigo they need to offer an upgrade to refined dilithium even if its behind a C store paid option like the EC cap make it so it a rare purchase that you can buy sor 10 or 20 dollars that doubles your refinability per toon ... i honestly would pay for it as a player with easily 5 or 6 65s
Hey Davina, I'm working on another video to show new players how to make EC much quicker than the usual chore of the galaxy quests! Stayed tuned I'll try to get it out this week!
With a brand new account you will want to setup a KDF aligned JemHadar. Once you complete the jemhadar intro missions and unlock duty officer missions and admiralty you will fly to the beta quadrant and position your ship in the sectors just above klingon space(The red area). Your goal is to grab as many Marauding duty officer missions and Admiralty missions as you can. Marauding duty officer missions will reward Contraband and prisoner doffs. Contraband can be converted to dilithium, or sold on exchange. Prisoner Doffs can be converted to dilithium at a security officer. Don't worry about the high fail rate of that assignment because you will be drowning in prisoners. That's basically it. It's a very passive way to turn spare character slots into a source of resources. You just spend a few minutes on the character collecting duty officer assignment and admiralty rewards.
me too im mostly a pc player tbh BUT do have it on ps 4 ....only thing i dont like on PS 4 is some of the free stuff you get on PC ...you will only get (or used to) on PS4 if you have the £15 a month playstation plus ! thats another reason i stopped playing on PS4 when i could get it for free on PC ( TBH iv been playing on pc since launch over 10 yrs ago so have a lot more invested there) also i gave up on ps4 cause i just couldnt get used to player controls but thats my problem lol 😉
Man this is great but also would totally kill the game for me if I did it. Playing with max efficiency like this is a great way to make yourself hate a game. If you can do it and still enjoy the game, more power to you. I will probably give this a try at some point but I doubt I'll do it very often.

This is horrible I no loe honestly discovered the dill glitch years ago all you have to do is either make a Jem'hader or Klingon. Jem'Harder is to make ec with tour and dill you go to know new rom faster if on a team do stageing transfer dill than repeat klingons can go straight there so the fastest way to make dill is stageing area of new rom

I don't do do caffeine. Haha jk if you make a dominion character you have to play for 20 hours and get to level 65 before you can access those boxes. Also if you are a new player you need to have special recruits first before you can unlock those boxes. Watch for klingon recruit events, delta recruit events, temporal agent recruits, etc. I know it is alot to take in but the good news is a game with this much depth you can play for years and still be learning and unlocking new things.

First mmo? Cryptic stated on the forums they don't think recruit farming is a problem. Ive been mmoing for 25 years and if a dev makes it part of the game you either use it or get left behind. I'm not sure why someone who claims to make 100 million Energy Credits a day doing what you do needs to care what other people are doing. If I were trying to 'control the market' for Duty Officers surely I would be selling these Duty Officers. Have you seen any go back up for sale??? You haven't. Because they essentially disappear from the game as I convert them to Fleet credits!!! I've rarely sold Duty Officers, however, you've demonstrated that there's clearly a lot of money to be make selling them so that will change in future. The reality is that I ensure I have all purple Duty Officers, and a decent selection to ensure success in their assignments. Believe it or not some of us just play normally and don't feel the need to play like you in fear of 'being left behind'. Also, what makes you think my message was in way a form of 'high horse'. If you flood the market with cheap items you do hurt normal players, essentially reducing the profits they would otherwise make from sales if everyone played normally. As someone who has always used the Exchange like a typical player I even admitted that I've been foolish playing this way, when a far easier way to progress is to do as you do. not impressed when you went into space battle you're in auto attack what kind of gamer uses auto attack that's the AI playing the game you're just moving the control left and right. I disable auto attack because I want to feel that I'm in command of the game and the ship. and by the way federation officers cannot fly gemadar ships unless they have the cross faction if they're new players they cannot do that next time do a guide explain that
This video sucks for people fresh to the game. You loose a lot of subs because you go way too fast. You should tag this video for advanced players only because there is no way a novice can keep up with this. Nothing for me to learn here.
he's cheesing so much... fleet marks are best for fleet credits, but you cant just keep dumping those in fleet.. and you need a recruit toons too.... for power leveling, its good if you have that ship... other then that it's get really boring so fast ;)

The number of waves you get attacking you seems to be limited now. I only got 5 levels then got a "mission done" message.

So there is a lot more required to do this than was initially said in the first few minutes of the video. That's what my comment was speaking on.
How many times a day would you have to make a new toon for this kind of farming?
You can do it once a day, or week, or however many times a day as you want. If you want to make 100 mil a day, you would probably have to make 6 or 7 toons but you could get lucky on your first go and get a purple duty officer that is worth 70 million.
Just like to ask how your Jem'hadar wingmen are dealing so much damage in elite. Every time I use the strafing maneuver they deal far less than even a thousand damage. There something i'm missing or have they seemingly been nerfed?
Get your endeavours ranked up..... The endeavour bonuses carry over to newly created charecters too
It used to be that the account bank cost Zen to unlock on your account on PC, in fact I think it was about the same time they released the game on console that they changed that, I have an alt account that I have never spent Zen on and that account has an account bank, it doesn't have very many slots in it, I think 10 or 12 slots I don't remember right off, but because I did buy the account bank with my main account my main account has double the number of slots as my free-to-play account has, so basically when they added the account bank for free on PC because I'd already bought the account bank for my main account they gave my main account extra account bank slots.
yep pc have account bank 10-12 slot, cant remembr either... you just need 500 zenos for EC Cap

How do you do that from lvl 1. I tried patrols at lvl 5 and got destroyed so many times i stopped playing for awhile. If my endeavors were maxed and payed a crap ton of money maybe. But this is impossible for a new player.
It helps MASSIVELY if your main toon has a high endevour level, this means ALL your alts benefit from having way higher bases (critD, critH, hull, etc etc) than a non endevour fresh toon.

Get a jem hadar ship from store and use use it on your jem until you max out the ship mastery then you can use it on any toon you want at any level and the ships slots unlock as you level

Great video but even with elite settings, my characters are levelling up far slower, for example, your character goes from 0 to almost level 3 simply by talking to the admiral, the first task… mine just go to almost level 1… I get to almost level 2 by equipping the kit, almost level 3 for the third task at the academy, basically your character was levelling up twice as fast? You’re at level 6 when you start the first patrol, what am I doing wrong?
Hey buddy, you're not doing anything wrong, I recorded this video during the bonus xp event last week on PS4, which cuts the number of patrols you needed to do down to 3. Now its taking me 5 patrols if I get lots of kills in each. Sorry I briefly mentioned the extra xp but this is my first commentary, I did this unscripted. It is dirty quick with the xp event active. Probably taking me about 35 min now, which is still a haul of dil and EC for 35 min farming.
I'm going to pin this comment so others can be aware that until the next xp event it will take 5 patrols. Thanks!

Yeah I’m almost down to 5 patrols, it’s all about positioning the ship for the wing man attacks, I’m just doing it once a day but I’ve got maxed out Gamma, Temporal and Delta recruits so make about 6k fleet marks, I’m also doubling up on the refined dilithium by making it the last thing I do just before midnight (uk time) when the system resets so i can refine twice 👍
Niiice. If I have to do a 6th patrol I usually just dip for a few quick kills, and abort as soon as I hit 21. That is awesome I wish I had more characters from recruit events, I'm looking forward to the next one!

I purchased the Starfleet tier 6 pack but i cant het them at the Shipyards please some advice i bought them in the PlayStation store
iirc, unless your in a fleet with a T5 shipyard and/or you character is a certain level, you cannot use them, you will also need spare ship slots.
after you unlock the ship on the zen store your jem hadar has to level the ship mastery to max level before other characters can use it.

No as soon as you hit level 21 with a normal toon alot of the boxes will unlock. If you use a Jem'hadar the boxes are locked until you play for 20 hours

I have about 8 lvl 65 characters, always struggled with making dilithium and ec in any real quantities. Also ill have to watch vids on how to craft efficiently so i dont waste mats.
If you play one for any meaningful amount of time at 65 you will eventually have more unrefined dil than you know what to do with. I have 4 level 65’s that have over 500k unrefined on each of them right now.

make it so it a rare purchase that you can buy sor 10 or 20 dollars that doubles your refinability per toon ... i honestly would pay for it as a player with easily 5 or 6 65s

Hey Davina, I'm working on another video to show new players how to make EC much quicker than the usual chore of the galaxy quests! Stayed tuned I'll try to get it out this week!
With a brand new account you will want to setup a KDF aligned JemHadar.
Once you complete the jemhadar intro missions and unlock duty officer missions and admiralty you will fly to the beta quadrant and position your ship in the sectors just above klingon space(The red area).
Your goal is to grab as many Marauding duty officer missions and Admiralty missions as you can.
Marauding duty officer missions will reward Contraband and prisoner doffs.
Contraband can be converted to dilithium, or sold on exchange.
Prisoner Doffs can be converted to dilithium at a security officer. Don't worry about the high fail rate of that assignment because you will be drowning in prisoners.
That's basically it. It's a very passive way to turn spare character slots into a source of resources. You just spend a few minutes on the character collecting duty officer assignment and admiralty rewards.

me too im mostly a pc player tbh BUT do have it on ps 4 ....only thing i dont like on PS 4 is some of the free stuff you get on PC ...you will only get (or used to) on PS4 if you have the £15 a month playstation plus ! thats another reason i stopped playing on PS4 when i could get it for free on PC ( TBH iv been playing on pc since launch over 10 yrs ago so have a lot more invested there) also i gave up on ps4 cause i just couldnt get used to player controls but thats my problem lol 😉
Man this is great but also would totally kill the game for me if I did it. Playing with max efficiency like this is a great way to make yourself hate a game. If you can do it and still enjoy the game, more power to you. I will probably give this a try at some point but I doubt I'll do it very often.

This is horrible I no loe honestly discovered the dill glitch years ago all you have to do is either make a Jem'hader or Klingon. Jem'Harder is to make ec with tour and dill you go to know new rom faster if on a team do stageing transfer dill than repeat klingons can go straight there so the fastest way to make dill is stageing area of new rom

I don't do do caffeine. Haha jk if you make a dominion character you have to play for 20 hours and get to level 65 before you can access those boxes. Also if you are a new player you need to have special recruits first before you can unlock those boxes. Watch for klingon recruit events, delta recruit events, temporal agent recruits, etc. I know it is alot to take in but the good news is a game with this much depth you can play for years and still be learning and unlocking new things.

I must admit, I don't care much for players of this game, so this is a perfect way to innocently hurt others, negatively affect the game and the developers, while massively benefitting myself, and progressing far quicker in either the time I spend playing, or for playing much less. Everyone's winner! Great video. (...although slightly annoying that's it's only shown me what a complete f***ing idiot I've been for actually playing sensibly and correctly for years... but there's no time like the present to start to ruin the game for others!)
First mmo? Cryptic stated on the forums they don't think recruit farming is a problem. Ive been mmoing for 25 years and if a dev makes it part of the game you either use it or get left behind. Also I've seen you buying all my cheap doffs and trying to control the market. I don't think you high horsing holds water

Controlling the market!? That's kind of telling that you first care to notice who's buying what you sell, and that you believe anyone is 'trying to control the market'!!!! I'm not sure why someone who claims to make 100 million Energy Credits a day doing what you do needs to care what other people are doing.
If I were trying to 'control the market' for Duty Officers surely I would be selling these Duty Officers. Have you seen any go back up for sale??? You haven't. Because they essentially disappear from the game as I convert them to Fleet credits!!! I've rarely sold Duty Officers, however, you've demonstrated that there's clearly a lot of money to be make selling them so that will change in future. The reality is that I ensure I have all purple Duty Officers, and a decent selection to ensure success in their assignments. Believe it or not some of us just play normally and don't feel the need to play like you in fear of 'being left behind'.
Also, what makes you think my message was in way a form of 'high horse'. If you flood the market with cheap items you do hurt normal players, essentially reducing the profits they would otherwise make from sales if everyone played normally. As someone who has always used the Exchange like a typical player I even admitted that I've been foolish playing this way, when a far easier way to progress is to do as you do. And if more people do that it will collapse markets, or as they've seen on PC, a near collapse of the Dilithium exchange. I even pointed out that I don't care if this happens, or if players, the game or the developers are hurt by this. How is that a 'high horse' attitude? not impressed when you went into space battle you're in auto attack what kind of gamer uses auto attack that's the AI playing the game you're just moving the control left and right. I disable auto attack because I want to feel that I'm in command of the game and the ship. and by the way federation officers cannot fly gemadar ships unless they have the cross faction if they're new players they cannot do that next time do a guide explain that
This video sucks for people fresh to the game. You loose a lot of subs because you go way too fast. You should tag this video for advanced players only because there is no way a novice can keep up with this. Nothing for me to learn here.
he's cheesing so much... fleet marks are best for fleet credits, but you cant just keep dumping those in fleet.. and you need a recruit toons too.... for power leveling, its good if you have that ship... other then that it's get really boring so fast ;)
