Ford Figo 1.4 TDCI engine is unmatchable to any other car in it's segment. Simply superb.

I bought beat diesel in 2011 and sold in 2018. Very nice car. I only changed tyres and filters in 7 yrs and 110000 km. No body roll mileage 25 on highway. Now I have honda city 2017 believe me or not beat was a stronger car than city because city's bumper and boot missalligns with a little impact which never happened in beat even due to small accidents

I have beat. First if we talk about leg spacing when sitting behind, so just adjust the front seats and move them forward, then also very nice spacing for front as well as back. Second thing, pockets are also there behind front seats in beat. And third point, looks also matters
but still figo is better
Beat low-rise is like a match box. Again personal preference matters.

his conclusions of beat are incorrect. beat doesnot have body roll whatsoever. however it has the most rigid ride quality of the lot. i own one. that said , this review is below par.
I have diesl beat Lt since last 3 yr.. zero maintenance and great mil 25kmpl on highway.. interiors feels premium plastic etc with automatic climate control works grt the negative point is the boot space of the car and rear seats are not comfortable.. but overall it is the one of the best and safer COMPACT car in this segment..but now in market we have many new option..where figo n swift fails in crash test..
Abhinav dubey I think u didn't read the safety crash test article carefully. Figo and polo were only the car to pass the crash test and without airbags. If the safety car crash of this beat car is done it would definitely going to fail the test.

25kmpl??I got my beat diesel lto may 2014 and completed 43000kms.....but never achieved more than 22(only once when travelling from Banglore to Andhra 1100kms total trip) now I am getting just over 17-18kmph(I upgraded tyres to 175/65....now can do 150kph without car vibrating).....what's your trick for acheiving 25kmpl??I usually go 80-120kph on highways.... should I ask for ecu adjustment for better mileage??
figo is a good car to drive and it offers excellent road grip . features are also great but misses out on rear power window and headrests. Figo is much more roomier than beat. Figo's engine is also better than beat. But the main problem of figo is its ground clearance and maintenance. Periodical service is cheap but if the spare part problems begin then it will be expensive . (Especially diesel).Parts life of figo is poor. Beat has major advantage over figo in fuel economy and ground clearance.

@@DhanDhan_ beat can have a trillion times the features but it will never be as good to drive as the Figo 1st gen.
That steering was just magic, telepathic steering was the name given to it by enthusiasts, same story with the ride quality and build. It had it's flaws but the Figo is a superior product compared to the beat.
Figo is a superior product, that steering is still unrivalled below 10 lacs. Just magic. Pretty much the same story with the way the suspension is set up and also the tough build quality.

The best car in small car petrol segment is Beat. driver friendly and easy control systems. never lose control at high speed. fantastic even after 6 years.
I am using Figo2010 model petrol and it is pure charm. Btw, why the person to open bonnet in mall, they need to open the boot only for checking....
I prefer the old Beat. Have one for 3 years now. If you are driving within Bangalore, you don't have many stretches where you can drive fast and traffic's a b!%@$.
the easy steering and HVAC makes city driving tolerable.
Also , maintenance cost has been reasonable and mileage under control. I wont deny it has its downsides, but I have never regretted buying this car. (If any car can drive around Western Ghats roads without any major maintenance, that's the car to buy).

Also,the only car in it's class to offer climate controlled air conditioning and ABS (I suppose so), dual airbags,rear defogger and wiper, all doors' power windows, a music system with all the necessary add-on features - all under INR 6,00,000. I guess this might sound to you like me preaching to the choir but, I am just saying all this so that people know that they have got a deal if they are thinking Chevrolet.
Also, the CPCOO (I don't know if they are still around with that). I remember hard bargaining with the Chevy dealership while helping my friend buy one for himself. It is a great car in that price band.

Ford cars : Heavy Clutch & Tight gear.. A pain for Leg & hands after a ride..
Beat is way better for a hassle free driving....
@green lantern if you are talking about current ford cars then i don't know about that. But trust me going a long drive in my 2009 ford fiesta classic with that heavy clutch is not an easy task. I was having a painful experience. It would have been much better if they provided footrest or even some space for your feet to rest.

@@zubairsyed23 you can buy it even i have ford figo 2010 diesel but i will suggest you swift or I20 over figo bcuz figo have lack of ground clearance and not good road presence...

Hey you-tube. IMO...only downside to the figo is the fit n finish: doors creak, tyre noise audible, interior trims n rear seat squeak. Don't get me wrong, it's solidly built like a truck, but sadly, finished like one too. Figo's diesel engine and the steering are like a BMW, but the gear shift is lousy. This car feels supreme above 70kmph, anything below you'll feel like you're driving a minibus!
संयोग से मैं बीट डीजल और बीट डीजल का मालिक हूं लेकिन मुझे बीट ड्राइव करने में मजा आता है उसका टोर्की इंजिन हल्का और स्मूथ गियरबॉक्स बिल्कुल लाइट स्टीयरिंग और सॉफ्ट सस्पेंशन उसकी खासियत है। फीगो में हार्ड गियर इंजिन की ट्रैक्टर जैसी आवाज हार्ड स्टियरिंग ट्रैफिक में बार बार गियर बदलना खलता है। माइलेज भी बीट का बेहतर है।बीट फिगो से कहीं ज्यादा बेहतर है

This guy don't know any thing just talking what general issues I have done Hyderabad to New Delhi two times without any issue and even roads are very bad lot of diversions my is Dec 2011 model and I love my beat.

Sri. Abdul Basheer A, aged 42 years, S/o Assan, Edathil House, presently residing near Mulaparambath Masjid, Post Kambalakkad, Vythiri Taluk, Wayanad District, Kerala State to issue to you the following notice for your immediate attention and action.
Attracted by your heart stealing advertisement and canvassing by representatives, my client decided to purchase one Chevrolet Beat TCDI 2012 Model vehicle, and No.2 of you offered 25 kilometer mileage for the same. Besides that you also promised and made my client to believe that the vehicle is exclusive and special for its high fuel efficiency and comfortable handling and you also claimed that it is a perfect family car.
My client had paid a sum of Rs. 5,01,078/- (Five Lakh one thousand seventy eight) on 30 07.2012 and purchased your Chevrolet Beat TCDI 2012 Model Diesel Car and taken delivery from No.3 of you. My client is a Junior Co-operative Auditor and his wife Shahina is a School Teacher. Thus it was a long cherished desire of my client’s family to own a car. It was with much expectations my client selected your Beat. So far my client alone had handled the vehicle and all the prescribed services were done through your authorized service centre only. At the time of purchase itself you had promised three year warranty for the vehicle.
But to my client’s surprise the vehicle showed symptoms of delayed starting since November 2014 onwards. Though the problem was reported you and your service centre then and there and repeatedly in January 2015 also, you and your men shown not even the courtesy to attend the problem in its real sense. Gradually on many occasions the vehicle stopped its functioning even on the middle of the road and my client and his family had to face bitter experiences among the public. The problems on the vehicle were again repeatedly reported you and your service station many a number of times including second weak of January 2015.
My client says that the vehicle was taken to your service centre at Muttil in Wayanad District on 17.04.2015 and the problems on the engine and the delayed starting were all brought to your notice again and on your instruction the vehicle was kept at your service centre until 02.05.2015. In the meanwhile it is known that you had conducted investigations into the engine and vital parts of the vehicle and you had also changed its fuel pipe. Thus my client was deprived the service of your Beat for 16 days w.e.f 17.04.2015 to 02.05.2015 for the defects of the engine of the vehicle. Even thereafter while plying the vehicle my client noted unusual quantity and colour of smoke emission from the vehicle. Besides that unusual noise also started coming from the engine coupled with increased rate of delayed starting problem. You may please note that when these problems were developed in to a stage thereby the vehicle could not be plied on roads.
On 13.05.2015 it was a great task for my client to take the Beat KL- 12 -G 8449 to your Calicut service centre i.e. No. 2 among you. By that time the vehicle plied only 45495 kilometer. Even as on today the vehicle is kept with No.2 of you and you had also opined that there are some inherent manufacturing defects and problems to the engine of the vehicle and you are trying all efforts to cure the defects with the mechanical paraphernalia available with you. There is sheer deficiency of service on your part in dealing with my client’s vehicle.
You may please note that being a government servant my client had availed finance from Indusind Bank Sulthan Bathery, for the purpose of purchase of the vehicle. Now the vehicle and its problems became a headache for my client. My client also wants me to inform that my client is presently fed up with the vehicle and he believes that his choice was wrong. Having inherent manufacturing defects you had the duty and responsibility to recall the vehicle as and when the incurable defects on the engine was brought to your notice through your authorized service personal.
Now from the conduct of your service personals it appears that you some how wanted to drag on the procedures on the vehicle beyond the warranty period. In these circumstances my client also wants me to inform you that he lost faith in your vehicle and therefore I on behalf of my client hereby call upon you to take back the vehicle forthwith which is kept in your service centre since 13.05.2015 and to pay back the purchase consideration of Rs. 5,01,078 along with interest @ 18% per annum to my client. You are also liable to pay a sum of Rs. 1,00,000/- towards the , sufferings, and bad experiences suffered by my client on account of the purchase of your Beat TCDI 2012 Model Diesel Car .
Your attitude towards my client and his problems in relation to the purchase of your vehicle is nothing but cheating, fraud, criminal breach of trust, and unfair trade practice. This type of defective service from a reputed manufacturer and its dealer is against all the accepted principles of customer relations and the same has been flabbergasted my client. You are also liable to pay a sum of Rs. 3000/- towards the cost of this notice.
