I was 16 in 1969 when I bought my first Pink Floyd album (Ummagumma) and saw them live in 1971 and 4 more times after that. For me this is the BEST band of all times. Now I'm 71 years old and still listen to them everyday.
Your generation have got the joy of discovering these bands son, I remember how I felt hearing the bands for the first time back then, 😏 I was an 11 year old kid, 1971 and I got my first Pink Floyd album for my birthday 😊 Meddle, a lot of people think it's called Echoes but that's a track on the album, you have GOT TO do that live....Echoes live at Pompeii 👍 don't do the vinyl first, I got to see them for the first time in 1974, a birthday pressie off my brother, the Dark Side of the Moon tour, Empire Theatre Liverpool UK 🥰 I was blown away..🙂
There’s the original drummer standing up at the beginning of the song. Funny I just mentioned in the other reaction that he’s usually sitting down. 😂 Don’t know why I missed this reaction 🤔
So this is one Pink Floyd song where listening to the entire album it originally appeared (Dark Side of The Moon) is worth your time. There are some songs from this concert that are somehow better than the studio versions. For me this isn’t one of them, the studio version of Time is their greatest song in my opinion. But regardless….. when David (main vocals and guitar) recorded this in 1972/1973, he was the coolest kid in school. I think he takes people off guard when he’s older, it probably seems so unexpected that he is perhaps the greatest guitarist ever.
new subs 😎👍 next one from Pink Floyd - Coming Back To Life ( live Pulse 1994 ) or On The Turning Away ( live to the Delicate Sound of Thunder concert 1990 ) 😎👍🎸🎶🎶

ALWAYS SAID WHEN I FIRST HEARD THE FLOYD BACK IN 1988 AGE ELEVEN THAY WERE AHEAD OF THARE TIME
They don't make timeless music anymore
Not sure how I came across this, not sure if he has any idea who David Gilmore is or anything about his band. Pink flloyd?
Gilmour
