We had a polo pony get the left half of his lower jaw (from the bars of his mouth to the middle two teeth) removed. No idea how he injured it. My brother gave him the nickname Mr. Tongue cause he couldn't hold his tongue in his mouth anymore (he did eventually learn to rest it in his lip)
