This is what Jin said when he was asked "how the members would act if they were in a relationship":
JIN: V and Jimin would be the ones to become obvious (about their relationship). Although V acts cheeky, once he falls in love, he’d probably turn into a manly and mature guy. Meanwhile, you’ll be able to tell Jimin’s feelings from his face. I do always wear a poker face that’s why I’m quite confident I wouldn’t be caught. I don’t like showing my feelings on my face.
This sounds like TaeJin to me. In the beginning, around 2013-2015, I think Taehyung definitely had a crush on Jin. It's harder to tell with Jin, but I do think he also had some feelings for Taehyung, but wanted to hide it. And around 2015-2016, TaeJin started to become hot and cold: sometimes avoiding each other; sometimes being very clingy and touchy. I think this was a turning point for their relationship, because Taehyung did start to act more "manly" and "mature". And Jin gained more confidence to become the sunshine he is today. And then around mid 2016, they became almost inseparable. I know some people feel doubtful about Jin's feelings, since he does not express them as openly as Taehyung, but I really do think Jin loves Taehyung as well. He's just a person who doesn't like to reveal his emotions, and as he himself said: "I do always wear a poker face that’s why I’m quite confident I wouldn’t be caught. I don’t like showing my feelings on my face." But Jin does basically let Taehyung manhandle him however he wants, and often leans into Taehyung's touches. They also seem to always gravitate towards each other.
I also think we should view TaeJin's relationship with a strong focus on the background/history and subtext between them. So I made a list of some notable moments between them, to have a better perspective and overview of their relationship.
Some notable moments between TaeJin:
- When TaeJin met for the first time, this happened: "He [Taehyung] suddenly came over to me [Jin] and started dancing while rubbing his body on me." Taehyung wanted to make a first impression that Jin would remember, but became embarrassed when Jin stared at him blank-faced, and only said: "You go dance in the front, over there."
- When Taehyung would become flustered during their logs together during predebut.
- When they kissed during the Blanket performance (and it was willing).
- When they showered together + that one picture of them in the bath.
- When they said they would eat dinner together everyday after practice during predebut.
- When they said they talked together for hours in their free time, because they had a lot of similar hobbies and interest (i.e. watching animation, playing games etc.)
- When Jin was nicknamed Ctrl V, because he was the olnly one could control Taehyung.
- When Jin said he's closest with Taehyung.
- When Jin said his favorite is Jungkook in front of Taehyung, but Taehyung still said that him and Jin are the closest.
- When Taehyung became upset, and Jin asked not to be filmed, while he hugged Taehyung for 1 minute and 20 seconds to comfort him.
- When Taehyung wiped icing of the corner of Jin's mouth and ate it.
- When they said they sleep together, on at least four separate occasions, probably more (they have done this since debut, until this day).
- When they constantly wear matching clothes, especially on airports.
- When they sang to each other during the So What performances.
- When Taehyung wrote on Jin's birthday "Taehyung's love" (2016), and then wrote in 2018 "Accept my heart" on Jin's birthday.
- When Taehyung wears Jin's bracelet gift everyday, never taking it off. The meaning of the bracelet is "eternal love".
- When Taehyung said "I like Jin Hyung the most"

While it may seem like Jin and Taehyung are not often together on camera, they often spend their free time together. For example, once, when Jin hurt his finger, he said it happened accidentally, because he was playing a game with Taehyung. They also spent time together in a beach house, while the other members went home to their families, except Jikook who made a self promo film. They have also been spotted multiple times being together in their private time: going to watch movies, eating dinner, hanging out together or shopping. One of my favorite TaeJin moments, is actually when TaeJin In 2017 were spotted in Las Vegas holding hands, while Hobi walked beside them (not holding hands, basically third wheeling TaeJin). Since it shows how TaeJin is in private, and basically confirms that they're very close. So don't doubt that they are close: they're just very private about their interactions. Which means that they are NOT fanservice, and I really think there is something between them. Why else would they be so low-key about their moments? Why else would moments, that could be interpreted romantically, or at least show how close they are, be unsubbed or cut? Sometimes they avoid each other, and seem overly-conscious and awkward around each other, but then they become touchy and passionate again. They are too intense, then too cautious, then too intense again around each other. Isn't it obvious that there's something more? Even when they're not interacting, based on their history and subtextual moments together, I feel certain that something more is always between them.
