Uefa actually relaxed those rules... So two clubs with same ownership can participate in same UEFA competitions without an issue. This year it happened in europa league with Brighton and USG.

La Liga is getting exposed right now. These are depth pieces for Man City, and they're dominating the Spanish league while playing for one of its minnows. Although it's a minnow that produces incredible talent per capita- that much is true.
My prediction- City Group moves some pieces around in order to ensure that Girona doesn't finish top of the table by the end of the season. In the long term, City Group needs to be careful about their pecking order. Man City needs to be number one, followed by a couple of clubs outside Europe. Other clubs in Europe needs to be fourth or fifth in order of priority, not second.
If I had my way, NYCFC would jump up higher on the list. The time for that may be better when they're in a soccer specific stadium, which is finally in the works, but if they're qualified for international play in CONCACAF on top of the Leagues Cup situation, they exist in a space where there's not a lot of depth but there are a ton of opportunities to get meaningful playing time. Man City loses nothing if NYCFC is winning all of the things, so I say go ahead and send them some players.
