I've always had a love for DC even tho I was 13 when I visited. I got family, I believe they've since moved outside the district but my ppl left Tennessee in the 60s n 70s to move up there. They all doing good for themselves.

The city definitely changed. I tell people DC has a rich history some good and some bad. Folks don’t know that there were black owned businesses all throughout the city during the 80’s and before. How Georgetown use to be all black. And more. My entire family grew up here I wouldn’t change it for would💯

Foggy Bottom and Dupont Circle as well. Georgia Ave had doctor's offices, lawyers, tailors, etc. prior to the '68 riots.
