Especially to think that him and suga were the first 2 members and used to fight a lot when they first started out. But now they respect each other mutually.
I've always thought that suga is like a leader in the shadows in terms of the group's artistic direction and production. He completes and support both rm and the rest of the members artistic needs and individuality with his producing background and generally just his experience in creating music; he helps them all to grow as musicians. On the other hand, RM seems to help them grow as artists, focusing a lot on the weight of being one: what is there to say when you are fortunate enough to create? Who are you on the pedestal and how do you live that life? He pushes them not only to MAKE, but to produce the best outcomes they could.
But come to think of it, the rest of the hyung lines are kind of leaders too. Jhope always leads and is attentive to live performances and its details. not to mention how he also leads the dance practice and performances. I think he keeps a lookout for the group's vibes while they are on stage and support them as PERFORMERS.
And Jin is like the glue for all; as the eldest Hyung he is a shoulder for all, and ca0able of being the moodmaker. I think he fills in the cracks inbetween the members and keeps them tight because of his attentiveness and care to each of the member. He help them grow as not only a group, but also grounds them as people; as human beings outside of bangtan.
It's really cool, what RM said about him lacking but the others filling up for what he lacks and in turn allowing him to be the good leader he is is very true. There's a lot of groups out there that have good relationships, but I guess it's really special to have a group of people that not only are good friends, but are able to effectively make up for each other's shortcoming and pull each other up for the better as well as they do. Their synergy is really one in a million.
You can see in namjoon's eyes how touched he was when yoongi said he's the best leader, they wouldn't be able to acheive all the success without namjoon

I was actually feeling bad thinking that Namjoon won't get a letter but when Yoongi gave him one, I was so delighted that someone didn't forget about the leader. I was very emotional hearing what Suga said about RM. And the way RM returned the compliment is commendable. I love this man a lot and I'm proud of him. He's most definitely the best leader and he inspires me a lot!

I really got touched when Yoongi said Namjoon was the best leader. You know why? Because being older than Namjoon, he respects him THAT much. This clearly shows that age does not matter when it comes to leadership. RM has gone through so many struggles being the leader, yet he stands there as the BEST and the most successful leader of all times. I am so proud of him. So SO proud. He basically is the reason why BTS exists, and why WE (as ARMYs) exist.
