Well said patty!!! It’s so nice that they are not so money hungry as others. I love flippers though, but it is really nice for the average man to have a nice knife and still be able to feed the kids and dog too. 😁
This is a _really_ handsome knife. The FH51 might be more dramatic and current, but these are just classic lines. I like the color - not much reason to swap it out unless you just want to be different. If I had one complaint - it's the lanyard hole is just a hole. BTW, you're not the _only_ person who's tired of flippers. A lot of my custom collecting friends are up to their eyeballs. As a left-hander, I'm stuck with flippers for a lot of designs. But you'll notice a lot of makers are moving to thumbstuds and Spydie holes - or even front flippers. Simpler materials as well, micarta, wood, copper...
The reason I like affordable knives is because I’ll use them. Every time I buy an expensive one that voice says, bang it up and you can’t resell it... that’s a very expensive paper weight you’ve got there... that’s just me but a knife like this is a keeper in my book. Great video mate.

But, after flipping it open and closed, about 4,896 times now. : - ) My pivot did work loose a bit. Which is fine by me. I'm glad, that this tells me. That the pivot is not Loctite-ed shut!
Mr. Paddy, I have to agree with you on all points. I have 90 percent of what Ganzo makes, and this by far is my favorite. I have to admit though, I am not a huge D2 fan. I would like to see some BD1 or Chinese equivalent. I don’t know if you have seen the FH13, frame lock. Thanks for your time. Also my sister in law spent two years in your country doing missionary work, and is headed back in a few weeks. My wife and I will come to visit, have always wanted to see where my grandparents came from☘️

This knife continues to impress me. It's at least as good as the rat and is half the price. Hopefully it can stand the test of time. If you dont have one, get one before the price doubles.

Paddy, I have to admit this to you and all your subscribers ( which I am one) I am a compulsive Ganzo collector, I can’t stop myself. I have over 50 Ganzo Firebirds, But I don’t have the FH 41 !!!! And I blame you, and Birdshot IV, and Luv Them Knives...theses knives are so much fun...41 here I come ..
I want certain Ganzo knives just because of their geometry and usability. They honestly have better geometry than certain blades that are $200-$600!! I didn’t say material...Just blade geometry.

Last Ganzo untill the next ones come out :P. But I'm with you in that I don't buy that many flippers. These (and the FH51) just popped up at a Chinese retailer that actually ships to me, and while tempted I chose the 51. After regularly whining that I wish Ganzo put out more smaller knives it would've been rude not to.
I just got the green version today and mine is near perfect in every way. Amazing value. This knife makes me seriously question why I would spend more for higher priced knives of lesser build quality.
Hey don’t forget about ganzo G720 line they have different locks and thumb stud and a flipper. It’s my personal favorite. Check them out there’s a whole G7 series G7531 G7533 G753M1 G7562 you get it.
I just got the FH41 and I do like it. However, the detent is pretty weak. The lock-up is good when open and there is no blade play. It is easy to shake out though and it might be the weakest detent among knives I own. One of my favorite things about the FH11 is the detent. Did I get a bad one or is this just how the FH41 is?
I bought the fh51 on your recommendation paddy and I could not be happier especially for the money could easily have paid 3 x more for the quality. Great review as always
Hi Paddy. I've been focusing too much on my Ganzos with G-Lock and 440C that I forgot all about my FH41. I think this is the best among all the Ganzos I own. It's a great slicer, action is outstanding and it's a beautiful knife. It's also very comfortable in hand in any grip. I have the black one. Great review. 🙂
Guess what? Their next release has the axis lock/g-lock. Search Ganzo Firebird FB7651 and check out ATech's blog Best Chinese Knives for the update. It looks like a cross between these newer models and Ganzo Firebird's older models. Alas, like the older models it comes with 440c (they spoiled us with the high quality D2). Last Ganzo? Hahaha! Hello Paddy. Hey, love Ganzos, and am really liking the Firebird FH series through, like you, one flipper from this group is probably enough. So, if you had to choose but one, would you go for the FH 21, or would you choose the TH 41?
I love Flippers, and I prefer a very light weight Titanium Frame locker, but I’d be interested in seeing other kinds of heavy duty locking types , blade sizes for my preference should be around 3.7 inches.
I'm with you on this Paddy. I have all the FH series except this one and love them all (well maybe not the FH31). I'm ready for something different from Ganzo.
There are many locking systems to choose from. I hope they move forward with something new instead of taking a step back. They've done liner locks and frame locks already. How about a new system like a compression lock or a tri ad lock.
I'm a lefty so I prefer flippers because they are ALL ambidextrous, a lot of thumb stud openers are only right handed. I can still open them one handed but it's less convenient. The FH 41 is the nicest looking Ganzo I have seen so far and I rate D2 as a real do it all steel. The one thing I would like to see from Ganzo is a D2 slip joint with one or two blades, I would love to see their take on that.

I agree with you, other knife companys need to get there act together, and actually sell knifes that are sharp, 20 degree angle on each side would be good. And an even grind going all the way along on both sides.
paddys potato peelers Most definitely I actually managed to find Sanrenmu 910 with Titanium handle, which is a very close homage to Sebensa I really enjoy the Handle shape. I enjoy the whole knife in fact $60 US, it has a frame lock hardened insert, over travel stop, and the captured bearings with spacing washers pivot system. I generally carry a large 4 - 5 1/2” folders (Mostly Cold Steel Espada and Benchmade Crooked river are my two favorites) paired with a much smaller edc like Spyderco Dragonfly or Kershaw launch 4 so I never carry the SRM out of the house. I purely like to use it around the house whether or it I actually need it for something.🤓

I also am disappointed with this knife, I had my package delivered today and out of all of them the knife that I was most looking forward to owning was the fh41, the knife its self is beautiful but the detent and the flipper action is awful, it doesn't open all the way from a still hand I have to use wrist to open, I expected so much more 😭😭 as ganzo has always delivered, I I'm sorry but it might be time to stop my ganzo collection an start another, on the plus side the fh21 that I didn't like the look of but I wanted in the collection fires like a rocket and feels amazing in the hand. After seeing several reviews of the FH-41, I decided to buy one. Of course I have several Ganzo's, including the FH-11 and some other brands. The FH-41 is my favourite knife, at present. Real value for money.

Hard to choice a better one also the last one ganzo in ganzo's new FH series(without that copy design fh21).They may never announce a bigger and ceramic ball bearing version of fh51.
I agree about Ganzo having enough flippers Paddy, but I would also suggest to them to introduce premium tier to their line-up. We all know they've got the quality and manufacturing ability to do it. Why not have a more expensive line of Ganzo knives with titanium, carbon fiber, better steel, etc. I think people might go for it since they've been knocking out of the park for awhile now with their budget knives.

Nice video, Paddy. What 3" (smaller) Ganzo's do you recommend? I have the FH11 which is a larger Ganzo but it is the most FREE-DROPPING knife I own, hands down. Also it came sharper and better ground than many of the higher end knives I own (Spydeco, BM, Cold Steel all known for even, sharp grinds). Hence, I am very impressed with what Ganzo can deliver at such a price point. The problem is I prefer smaller knives for EDC and most of the Ganzo's I have seen have been large, one I even returned (Axis lock drop point) because it was absolutely huge, like bigger than the Ontario RAT1 and almost 7oz. (The product info was less than accurate but at $20 or so USD I took a chance).
I am going to get the FH41 here soon. I got the 51 but it didn't feel good in my hand. It was a bit too small. I don't believe that will be an issue with the 41. I like flippers Paddy my friend. How much more do you want for 25 dollars. Sure a button lock would be nice but to do it right would be a big price jump. Probably bigger than the average Ganzo buyer would be willing to pay.
Ho do Paddy! I agree g lock needs to come back I own 7 Ganzo's 2 flippers and I am done with buying more until a small change happens. Got 3 kitchen knives to sharpen today and add sharpening choil to them got some new stones on order and just can't wait to get them to sharpen the knives. When they get here I will purposefully dull a knife. Have a fantastic day.
I wished they would, and maybe they do and I don;lt know, but I wished Ganzo made a traditional style with the nail nick and a back spring that holds it closed. I like my knives down in my pocket. I love flippers, but I have sheaths made for my belt to hold my flippers. I do not like a knife hanging in my pocket. We are all different. I know guys that love a pocket clip knife and love it to be right there hanging from their pocket. This is why I always ask how well some of those would stay closed, because I would want mine to be in the bottom of my pocket, but cannot have the chance of it coming open in my pocket. Flippers are easier and cheaper to make though.
Another great video thank you Paddy! Nice to see the latest models next to one another. I have the FH21 and love it for the price. Wish they would do a lower profile clip on 3 smaller models though, on the 21, 41 and 51 the clip height is about the same as the handle width! Broke my original clip on FH21 trying to press it down a bit, snapped on thin part were it narrows down to fit into G10. I have daily carried a G729 for three years It's a paramilitary 2 with an axis lock. In their 440c Great tolerances I don't like their new designs because they're very similar to other Chinese knife makers. I have a D2 chinese flipper I didn't like that one I didn't want another. 759 looks pretty good too I would assume I would like it. But the G729 is the king of chinese knock offs IMO. Axis lock + paramilitary 2 ergos (or very close). If you're not legit having to put a new edge on it once every few weeks can't go wrong. The reason I bought from them was innovation I couldn't find in American companies. If i wanted a cheap flipper I can get those a lot of places.

After seeing several reviews of the FH-41, I decided to buy one.
Of course I have several Ganzo's, including the FH-11 and some other brands.
The FH-41 is my favourite knife, at present. Real value for money.

Strangely, I thought the same about the g-lock, so I was very happy with my first liner lock Ganzo
I still love them very much, and will keep on buying them, no matter what kind of lock.

Hard to choice a better one also the last one ganzo in ganzo's new FH series(without that copy design fh21).They may never announce a bigger and ceramic ball bearing version of fh51.

I agree about Ganzo having enough flippers Paddy, but I would also suggest to them to introduce premium tier to their line-up. We all know they've got the quality and manufacturing ability to do it. Why not have a more expensive line of Ganzo knives with titanium, carbon fiber, better steel, etc. I think people might go for it since they've been knocking out of the park for awhile now with their budget knives.

Nice video, Paddy. What 3" (smaller) Ganzo's do you recommend? I have the FH11 which is a larger Ganzo but it is the most FREE-DROPPING knife I own, hands down. Also it came sharper and better ground than many of the higher end knives I own (Spydeco, BM, Cold Steel all known for even, sharp grinds). Hence, I am very impressed with what Ganzo can deliver at such a price point. The problem is I prefer smaller knives for EDC and most of the Ganzo's I have seen have been large, one I even returned (Axis lock drop point) because it was absolutely huge, like bigger than the Ontario RAT1 and almost 7oz. (The product info was less than accurate but at $20 or so USD I took a chance).
I would recommend the new fh 51.great size for edc check my video for size and weight. It's a great knife.. Atb paddy 👍😊☘️
They've already announced a new original design and it's got the axis lock back Stephen 😂 looking forward to getting my FH41
I am going to get the FH41 here soon. I got the 51 but it didn't feel good in my hand. It was a bit too small. I don't believe that will be an issue with the 41. I like flippers Paddy my friend. How much more do you want for 25 dollars. Sure a button lock would be nice but to do it right would be a big price jump. Probably bigger than the average Ganzo buyer would be willing to pay.

Ho do Paddy! I agree g lock needs to come back I own 7 Ganzo's 2 flippers and I am done with buying more until a small change happens. Got 3 kitchen knives to sharpen today and add sharpening choil to them got some new stones on order and just can't wait to get them to sharpen the knives. When they get here I will purposefully dull a knife. Have a fantastic day.

I wished they would, and maybe they do and I don;lt know, but I wished Ganzo made a traditional style with the nail nick and a back spring that holds it closed. I like my knives down in my pocket. I love flippers, but I have sheaths made for my belt to hold my flippers. I do not like a knife hanging in my pocket. We are all different. I know guys that love a pocket clip knife and love it to be right there hanging from their pocket. This is why I always ask how well some of those would stay closed, because I would want mine to be in the bottom of my pocket, but cannot have the chance of it coming open in my pocket. Flippers are easier and cheaper to make though.

Wish they would do a lower profile clip on 3 smaller models though, on the 21, 41 and 51 the clip height is about the same as the handle width!
Broke my original clip on FH21 trying to press it down a bit, snapped on thin part were it narrows down to fit into G10.
Customized a Sanrenmu 7063 clip to fit, much lower and stronger retention :)

On FH 22 and 31 the clip size ratio seems much better and it doesn't look like it narrows down to fit in handle?
I hate the height of the clips but its hard to complain at the price. I do hold mine in a pinch grip now. Atb paddy 👍☘️😊

It's a paramilitary 2 with an axis lock. In their 440c

I don't like their new designs because they're very similar to other Chinese knife makers. I have a D2 chinese flipper I didn't like that one I didn't want another.
759 looks pretty good too I would assume I would like it. But the G729 is the king of chinese knock offs IMO.
Axis lock + paramilitary 2 ergos (or very close). If you're not legit having to put a new edge on it once every few weeks can't go wrong. The reason I bought from them was innovation I couldn't find in American companies. If i wanted a cheap flipper I can get those a lot of places.
