I love your film. It reminds me of our camping trip before I went into the service in 69. Best two weeks of my life out there with mother nature, and your music fit your film perfectly. Thank you for the flash back!
awesome video had a buddy who grew up out there in glenns falls always told me how great it was out there wish i could have went out there with him.. great music too
Just caught your video & glad I did! A lot going on there Mr. Yerks. Wonderful music complementing killer visuals produced an all-around magnificent experience! Sorry to hear about the house fire hope you & family are doing fine.
+AC .Bushcraft Thanks so much for saying so. I haven't made a film in a very long time. We had a house fire and I lost all my archives and gear. But I hope to make some soon. I love sharing experiences with folks here and it's even nicer to get great comments like this. Cheers!
Great video , thanks for sharing. I've visited those 3 lean-tos around the lake several times, hauling in 300 lb logs by hand to replace rotted pieces. :) Glad to see they're still in good working order.
I just stumbled upon your videos for the first time today. I love how they depict all the warmth and good feelings that come with being in the outdoors. Tell me more about the song on this one.
+Sierra Gilpatrick In case you missed it in the description. :) 'Ratirontack - The Tree Eaters' - Written and Performed by Alexander Yerks 'Ballad of the Dancing Leech' - Written by Jimmy Page and Performed by Alexander Yerks [On Banjo] '1997' - Written by Mason Jennings and Performed by Alexander Yerks [On Banjo] ''I wish I could roll and hoot like that Ole Owl Roscoe' - Written and Performed by Alexander Yerks 'Spruce Lake' - Written and Performed by Alexander Yerks 'Cold Creek' - Written and Performed by Alexander Yerks 'Dear Prudence' - Written by John Lennon & The Beatles and Performed by Alexander Yerks 'Dead Man' - Written and Performed by Neil Young
+Sierra Gilpatrick I don't know how I missed your comment! TH-cam notifies me only when negative people comment :) Thanks for the kind words. It's been some time since Ive made another film but Im due. Life has been a bit dramatic in the last year so I guess it'd reflect in filming so Im glad I haven't yet. What songs were you interested in? I made a couple up and some are done by others (Neil Young, Jimmy Page, etc..)
Hey I really love the music you play, I was wondering if you'd have any problem with me downloading mp3s of it? :) And playing around with adding other instruments like bodhran?? thanks -Trent :)
+Krieg Films Hey Trent, Thanks for the kind words. Im usually a little nervous about letting media out but why not. Give it a shot, maybe you can send me some when you're done? It'd be fun to have a 'virtual jam session' My email is alex@alexanderyerks.com Maybe I can use them on a future video I added credits in the description because some of the songs I did not write. The ones that are mine are always improv and made up on the spot so have fun with them.
I love the adirondacks, but why do all these videos have the cheezy music? if you appreciate nature, why not just let nature speak? Great shots but could do without the annoying folky hippy crap soundtrack...rrrrrrrrrr
+UnpunishedMovie Im not sure I can answer that question for you. I don't question what other folks do with their creative outlets. If I enjoy it great, if I don't thats great too. It's their film project and if they like it..well then their job was successful. A lot of people don't want to sit and load a long youtube video of quiet nothingness either, there is already a ton of that. Anyways, I hear ya and thanks for stopping in to comment. Cheers
I loved the music! It worked absolutely perfectly with the video and footage. I agree that I'd much rather listen to a 15 minute video such as this with nice music in the video as well. :)
COOL VIDEO AND KILLER SOUNDTRACKS, BUT JUST TO HELP YA OUT, YOU TALK TO DAMN MUCH....... LOL, AND YOU DONT GIVE ENOUGH CREDIT TO ANYONE EITHER........... LATER
+Mr1SUPERdoodle Thanks for the input and stopping by to comment. But I'm a little confused to what you mean. I don't think I said a single word in this old film and don't know who or what I'd be crediting and for what? Cheers
+Alexander Yerks YEAH, THATS WHAT I MEANT, AND YOU LISTED CREDITS FOR EVERYTHING LIKE I'D NEVER SEEN SO MANY CREDITS, ........ I GUESS WE CAN CALL IT A LEAD ZEPPELIN
