Agree that your gear choices are spot on. The one pack your fear item (mine), I would add a mini bic lighter just in case for the stove or to sterilize needles etc.
Like your Dublin jersey. Why is the text in your videos on mirror image? BTW very best of luck with your thru hike. Hope to do it myself when I retire.
I went ahead and bought myself a roll top Fanny pack from Hilltop Gear and used it on a recent three day hike. It worked great! Thanks for the recommendation.
Are you sure your estimations are correct? Your kit looks lighter than 26 pounds.Looked more like 16 lbs. Thanks for sharing and I am looking forward to watching your hike. When are you starting? If February or March you will need some winter gear still, gloves and hats, etc.
@@jeffs6229 Thanks for watching this video and for your feedback. I forgot to include some of my gear in this video. I will be prepared for the cold weather, and I will have a list of my items and their corresponding weights linked to this video soon. I will be starting my hike on March 1 of next year. Please feel free to subscribe to my channel. Thank you, Dave
Yeah he said 28 lbs but I was doing the real time math, water bottles maybe slightly heavier than smart bottles but definitely nothing that stands out that could account for that 28 figure he gave. 16 or 17 is a good guess.

Thanks for the video. The Lighter Pack link wasn't working for me though!
Thanks for catching this issue. I believe I have the link fixed and it should work for you.
