New sub here. Just started van life after years of watching others share their adventures. Luckily, I rent a spot from my employer, complete with shore power and I shower at my local gym. I dump truck drive 10-12 hours per day and sleep/relax in my van. My days off are spent at the beach, local state park, or just meandering through town on foot. I chose this lifestyle due to high rent here in Myrtle Beach. I make a 600 van payment verses 1450 apartment rent on a one bedroom. My goal is to make bank until retirement. I'm 51, so I need to make haste. Best of luck to you and keep it up 👍🏻

My daughter and I went full time rv life in December. We left maine in December and went south. We stayed at flying j, pilot and Cracker Barrel once each and they all have been great! Some days I’d drive until early morning hours cause excited to get to where we were going. Always felt safe at each location. They all got our business as well. I plan on downsizing now that we have been traveling for months we know what we need and don’t. Plus we want to do more back country exploring. We want less people more nature! Until then still gonna enjoy the freedom of our house being on wheels. Much love to you all.

4:00 I like old fashioned oats (they make you feel full, longer), and I like adding spices, sliced almonds, and an unsweetened applesauce cup to it. I find that the applesauce adds just the right amount of sweetness for me. And those individual cups don't need refrigerating and are just the right size.

Also, the more places like Walmart allow van lifers to park in their lots at night, the more additional protection they have from criminal activity. Criminals might cause issues if one guy is parked there, but if van lifers know a lot is welcoming, van lifers tend to congregate and look out for each other, which means looking out for the location, too.
That was one of the cutest videos I've seen. You reminded me of my son when he was four or five and he gave me every excuse not to go to bed. He'd ask for water. He'd ask for a story. I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in 2018 and it’s done a number on my bones. I’m 61 and refuse to spend the rest of my days locked up in this room. I want freedom and adventure. I think it's great that you're making eating healthy a priority. Sault St. Marie is about 7 hours away from the GTA. Lots to do in that area. All that healthy eating and it's no wonder I noticed that your body composition changed. You looked slimmer compared to your previous videos! I hope one day I'll spot your van! I stayed at that Flying J on my way back from BC last November! Cool to see it again. I didn't get to explore the area though, bc I was in the middle of a huge snow storm! Glad you got some nice weather.
I agree with you 100% it's very rare for me not to buy something from wherever I sleep. I'm a 70 yr old great Grandma who travels so I very much appreciate a safe place to stay. Hopefully I plan on driving east to west in Canada next spring thru summer. Just have too see how much stuff goes up. Finger crossed it all goes back to normal.
You are correct it is city ordinances. Here with the space center's frequent Launches, way too many take up all the parking which inhibits the locals ability to get the services necessary for their daily lives.

With increased energy costs and vagaries of finding suitable safe overnight parking, am considering a home base + ez converted van for weekend or semi-monthly trips based on all info shared. Admit prefer full-time for complete immersion, but todays economy has given more to consider. Wishing you and Cruze the very best weekend ♥️

Love the content you share about living life on the road in your van. I have noticed a shift in your food your eating, I have to say you look really great I have noticed last few videos. You have become such a great presenter in your content and love Cruze. I have a Boler and am taking it north to Haida Gwaii for the summer. Love small spaces. I went to Sault USA for kindergarten in the early 50's when my dad was stationed at the USCG facility. Surprisingly what I remember the most are the beautiful wild flowers. Funny what stays in your brain as memories. Beautiful !!!!!! Plus the kindergarten had a tile pool in it. Ahhh... Blessings +the old time country music on the radio. Ugh ....
Chrome you a great bloke, your video are what I travel to. Stuck in Weipa Queensland as dads dementia as his dogs dementia and cushings disease, they have grounded my RV for 6 months now. Just sooo grateful were at my sons and family as takes an emotional load of. Ive got dad writing his memories and his dark energy is dispersed now. So thanks to you mate and your great dog.
Hey Chrome! Love your channel. Recent fan. About 9 months or so. Bindged watched every episode in a few months. Just wanted to maybe mention something that might help Cruz get some extra water in his diet. I have my cat on a raw food diet which has lots of water in it. With raw food they tend to drink less water or with mine none at all. I sneak extra in by mixing it in her raw food and making it not runny but very soft. It’s amazing how much water they get that way if you do it everyday. BTW very happy for you And Emi! Safe and happy travels. 😎
We are traveling in our van and have gone 3000 miles so far. From Indiana we crossed over to Colorado and then Utah. It was all so beautiful. We stayed at a Taco Bell in Missouri and a Walmart in Kansas. We stayed at a campground for 2 nights, but the rest has been blm or truck stops. Fun trip 😊
You and Cruzie make the best videos. You 're like family and my family lives in Ontario, so I am visiting them vicariously thru you. I have driven across Canada in the pea soup fog above Lake Superior and made it thru thanks to the trucker I was following. It's like doing it all over again. Enjoy.
20:11 sometimes random unscripted videos are a mess and sometimes, they are th emost entertaining LOL. I had some scripted that are morphing into something else as stuff happens and i'm unexpectedly filming and incorporating in it. I love being a TH-camr, man, it's so much fun 💜
Dude I know the feeling of living with a dog, we have 2 pit bull mix & a bulldog at home. You put on clean clothes & 5 min. later your covered with hair or vacuum the floors & later it looks the same as before. But dogs are awesome company so it’s a trade off😁😎

Chrome, you can use automotive molding tape for your phone mount... works great and you dont need to buy another mount... (designed to hold moldings on the outside of a vehicle)
Always love your videos! For more choice in leafy greens, have you tried collard greens or mustard greens? I really like them because they don't get as mushy as spinach and other greens. They're just a sturdier green. Just a thought. I, too, recently became a vegan (at 57) and am loving it, and find myself craving much different foods! 😁😁🥣🥣🥣

Truck stops (Flying J included) are our favorite overnight stops on our trips to Florida from the Maritmes.

Here is a little tip for your stove-aluminum foil line the bottom, work it around the burners. When dirty gross...throw it out re-line new foil.

I went to Sault USA for kindergarten in the early 50's when my dad was stationed at the USCG facility. Surprisingly what I remember the most are the beautiful wild flowers. Funny what stays in your brain as memories. Beautiful !!!!!! Plus the kindergarten had a tile pool in it. Ahhh... Blessings +the old time country music on the radio. Ugh ....

Stuck in Weipa Queensland as dads dementia as his dogs dementia and cushings disease, they have grounded my RV for 6 months now.
Just sooo grateful were at my sons and family as takes an emotional load of.
Ive got dad writing his memories and his dark energy is dispersed now.

Hey Chrome! Love your channel. Recent fan. About 9 months or so. Bindged watched every episode in a few months. Just wanted to maybe mention something that might help Cruz get some extra water in his diet. I have my cat on a raw food diet which has lots of water in it. With raw food they tend to drink less water or with mine none at all. I sneak extra in by mixing it in her raw food and making it not runny but very soft. It’s amazing how much water they get that way if you do it everyday. BTW very happy for you And Emi! Safe and happy travels. 😎
We are traveling in our van and have gone 3000 miles so far. From Indiana we crossed over to Colorado and then Utah. It was all so beautiful. We stayed at a Taco Bell in Missouri and a Walmart in Kansas. We stayed at a campground for 2 nights, but the rest has been blm or truck stops. Fun trip 😊
You and Cruzie make the best videos. You 're like family and my family lives in Ontario, so I am visiting them vicariously thru you. I have driven across Canada in the pea soup fog above Lake Superior and made it thru thanks to the trucker I was following. It's like doing it all over again. Enjoy.
20:11 sometimes random unscripted videos are a mess and sometimes, they are th emost entertaining LOL. I had some scripted that are morphing into something else as stuff happens and i'm unexpectedly filming and incorporating in it. I love being a TH-camr, man, it's so much fun 💜

Dude I know the feeling of living with a dog, we have 2 pit bull mix & a bulldog at home. You put on clean clothes & 5 min. later your covered with hair or vacuum the floors & later it looks the same as before. But dogs are awesome company so it’s a trade off😁😎

Chrome, you can use automotive molding tape for your phone mount... works great and you dont need to buy another mount... (designed to hold moldings on the outside of a vehicle)
Always love your videos! For more choice in leafy greens, have you tried collard greens or mustard greens? I really like them because they don't get as mushy as spinach and other greens. They're just a sturdier green. Just a thought. I, too, recently became a vegan (at 57) and am loving it, and find myself craving much different foods! 😁😁🥣🥣🥣

Purchase a wet/dry vac. You have ways to charge it and it would help keep your house clean. Also a few rolls of lint rollers
Feel ya with the sand & dog hair..my huskyshepdemon sheds CONSTANTLY, my lab not as much, the challenge is finding a safe place to let them out so I can have the time I need to clean. Take care, be safe peggy, Sammy & Jinx
BTW i get these Uncle Ben's packets at Dollarama and they're half the price as grocery store for the exact same thing just sometimes they don't have all the varieties ☕️ AND i have a rice machine but sometimes.... TOO LAZY
