It would have been a good video andout a cool ass topic if only you would have just not tried to be funny that shit was wack just stick to giving us info on el santo
True story. his own kid, who later became El Santo Jr. didn't know his dad was el Santo for many years until he saw him put it on in their car in preparation for some event he was attending.
I like to imagine that when he died, El Santo was allowed into heaven for all his good deeds, but instead chose to stand by the gates of hell and bodyslam anything that tried to get out.
El Santo Is great. In real life he was the best wrestler of México. And in fiction he was like Batman. But better, because he has won fighting zombies, vampires, werewolfs, various monsters, aliens, anything you can imagine. And he didnt even wear a shirt
Him and blue demon are mexico’s most famous luchadors in fact asking a mexican if they know any of these two guys is like asking them if they know jesus.

they need to make a 21JumpStreet style movie with El Santo and Blue Demon and they keep their masks but act normal and as long as theyre wearing a wig or glasses as disguise nobody can identify them.
It wasn't that he knew he was going to die. Clearly, the mask felt betrayed, took over Santo's body while Santo slept, poured over medical journals to learn how to fake a heart attack, but actually committed murder suicide so they could never be apart again.
So Klyntar Symbiote was based on a real life story and the reason the mask is on his body is to stop it bonding with someone else and becoming Venom or Carnage
no no no you got it all wrong what actually happened is that someone had a death note and when they finally saw their face they killed him with well the most classical way for the death note to kill someone... a hearth attack
There was a legend that said that if he was to take off his mask, he would die. He took it off for ten seconds, ten days later he was dead. Coincidence ?
That's smart because he could keep his personal life separate from the fame. Would be harder to do today with so many robots following you with their cameras and phones
As a Mexican, like to say thank you for talking about El Santo, he was part of the Golden Era of Mexico’s cinema. And one great super hero kids grew loving him
I live in Chile (some 7000km south of Mexico) and my dad was a really big fan as a kid, and even as an old man he watched El Santo and Blue Demond old movies whenever they were on on the Mexican channels on cable.
The video made him looks like he was a paranoic guy. He did took off his mask from time to time but just like Batman, no one knew it was him. El Santo was a national icon and also a super heroe. Thats what most luchadores were here in Mexico, El Santo being the most iconic one. His movies are fun to watch too. He is one of my favorite super heroes too.
The legendary Santo was so private about his identity , that he never took his mask off, not even when he was taking a shit.He was the most famous icon, wrestler - actor, that ever existed. Watch his old movies , especially the ones in black and white, he was great.
fun fact: apparently he was also famous in Turkey, where they made a film about a crime-fighting trio of superheroes formed by him, captain america and spider man
Up until the end of this video I thought that I had dreamed it. Because I remember watching it as a child with my grandmother and loving it, but I never heard of it ever since and I started to think that maybe it was part of my imagination. I feel so relieved right now
I'm of Mexican descent. I was a kid in the 70's. I grew up knowing of Lucha Libre before knowing of WWF. El Santo was a huge hero of mine. I did rank him up with Batman, Superman, Spiderman, etc. Great memories.
One of his movies was played in France for 40+ weeks; this French guy learned how surrealist is Mexico IRL when he learned that El Santo was a real luchador.
James Sie (voice of Jackie Chan in Jackie Chan Adventures) also took over voicing Master Monkey on the show Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness. Oh, and yes El Toro is partially inspired by El Santo.
Jackie Chan Adventures was the tits. There was a magazine that ran alongside it and if you subscribed to it you got a collector's tin which would contain the cards and animal talismans you'd get with each issue of the magazine. I nearly got them all but my parents chucked it. Proper livid over that.
I'm Mexican and this video isn't exactly accurate. He wasn't some crazy nut who absolutely NEVER took off his mask, he just was never unmasked in wrestling, in a movie or in public appearance, never showed his face to the public until he died. BUT he had a normal life on the side, he didn't sit at home with his wife and kids wearing that mask, whenever he wanted to do normal people shit, which was most of the time, he just - ok, are you ready for this? - HE DIDN'T WEAR THE MASK! Right?? Because no one knew it was him, so it didn't matter if he went out in public without the mask! Mind blowing, innit?? His name was Rodolfo Guzmán Huerta and though he was very secretive about his double identity as El Santo (His own son never learned his father was the famous Santo for years), he wasn't a crazy dude who never took off his mask in real life. He even wrestled under other names before coming up with his Santo character. Masked luchadores are a hallmark of Mexican wrestling or lucha. Every single masked wrestler NEVER unmasks in public unless the organization for which he or she works scripts that he's going to lose a 'Mask vs Hair' match, where the loser either shaves his head or loses his mask and abandons his masked identity forever. They agree to do that beforehand, of course, because as everyone knows, wrestling is scripted. Even the gossip press makes a lot of noise if an alleged photo of a currently performing Luchador without his mask leaks. Most just deny it's them though. Great video though and I am very happy people talk about this man who is an absolute LEGEND in Mexico, many of the things on it are true, but people shouldn't think that he went 24/7 with that mask on. Like a superhero he took it off where he was sure no one was watching or had followed him and just made a normal life. He did do crazy stuff like switch cars after unmasking and leave through another door, etc.
Are you still 14? I think it's obvious that just as a Japanese person might know more than a foreigner about a Japanese subject, so would a Mexican know more than a foreigner about a Mexican subject. Many things get lost in translation. Do I really need to spell this out for you? Do you think many Irishmen know who is the founding father of México, for example? And by Mexican I mean actually born, raised and living in Mexico, not chicano. I'd expect U.S Mexicans to know little about this subject.
Lestat220289 Who said he was a crazy nut? And did you miss the part where they said *Santo* never took his mask off *in public* ? It's repeated several times. The private person may have walked around without a mask but the video's not about him but the personality Santo. You seem to have taken unwarranted offence.

That type of dedication with El Santo really is an inspiration to the human will though....and that alone should change a couple of people who hear about it...
You know I think he just assume someone would take his mask of his dead body and just show it around, maybe he wanted to show it under his own circumstances.
