Pokemon Diamond was my first and favorite of the series, everyone calls it one of the worst because of the pace, but as a kid I had all the time in the world.
I swear to god after so many years I started playing Pokémon Firered on my Emulator and some friends came to visit at the moment. And all of them were so hyped and wanted to play Pokémon, too. Now we play every 2 months Pokémon at my place and battling each other. I thought we would do it once, but we do it since 2 years. Even we are adults now and dont have much time anymore, we still manage to play it and the anticipation is like we were back then as kids.
It took me 7 years to finish college, 4 jobs, countless hours of sleep lost. I think I'll start relaxing more and start a new journey. I'm coming out of retirement and giving the 4th generation and on a chance of retiring as a Master Pokemon Breeder in FireRed. Platinum version sounds good. Any suggestions for the later games? Will probably also pick up Pokemon Black (is that 5th gen?) and Pokemon X and Moon.
Be patient with fifth gen. It's one of the more... weird generations, but black and white solve a lot of its issues and are pretty fun to play. But nevertheless, find which gen you're comfortable, and don't rush your journey, it's way more enjoyable that way imo
5th gen was a breath of fresh air with 150 a new pokemon with an amazing storyline. They restrict you with the old generation pokemon in black and white. If you want to go through the game with some old gen pokemon, play the sequel. Tell us how your adventure goes!
Man, Azalea Town's (and Blackthorn's) theme gets me every time. When I hear it, I can just imagine being in a small town where I know everybody, walking home around sunset after putting in a good day's work with my friends/family. I think Azalea kind of gives off that vibe on its own, but the music just cements the feeling even better.

This summer, I started playing all the Pokemon games for the DS to catch up on what I missed during my childhood. I never got a DS when I was younger, I got a 3DS in 2013. It's a really exciting and a fun experience meeting new characters in the series and most importantly, listening to the music which for me is new but nostalgic to others.

The decisions that GameFreak has made regarding Sword/Shield have greatly disheartened me. It opened my eyes to how far the series has fallen ever since the leap to 3D. This video’s songs take me back to those days of old. I still love the series, but not the same way I used to. Pokemon bleeds potential, and it hurts to see GameFreak fail to capitalize. My home is with the gen 3 games. LeafGreen, Emerald, Mystery Dungeon... love them to pieces. Here’s hoping GameFreak steps up its game.
Everyone always think people who dislike SwSh hate pokemon and arent true fans I want to love pokemon, the games were fun, it made so many fun spin offs, and seeing it be so badly reduced to a bland sanded off husk of itself hurts to see

@Graham Scott exactly! They had to address this problem eventually, it is too bad it occurred with the first main line console generation, but now was as good a time as any.
@Graham Scott I believe this was the reason for AS/OR; They could just make a new world with X/Y models. This may have been why Sun and Moon were released just months before the Switch launch, as well, since I believe that game used the same models from the other 3d Pokemon games, however after this point, there were way too many to reasonably remodel at high resolution without spending more money than the games would bring in. The story aspect of this is interesting, though. We know there's been a war in the past (I believe Ash's Dad died in it, could be wrong.) so I wonder if the series will pull a Zelda and release it's own version of Majora's Mask (meaning an unprecedentedly dark mainline Pokemon game. Explorers of Sky dealt with apocalypse, however this is generally considered a mainline Pokemon game.
Each song is better than the last, it’s simply mesmerizing. The nostalgia and auditory appeal combined to create such a magnificently feeling effect. I feel like I’m just a little kid again, with my entire life ahead of me, and not a worry in the world. This is truly excellent ingenuity at its finest.

All things considered, i've lost a lot of Pokemone games to the ravages of time. One of my more treasured ones was diamond, so when i clicked on this expecting some sort of Gen-1 or Gen-2 Song, i froze. I was pleasantly surprised. Wonderful choices, Nintendo and Chill, and thank you for this.
I still remember driving through the desert playing the gen 3 games. The vibe really fit the “new” feel of the game at the time, considering all the ground and sea based themes. And gen 4 was a real treat too. The Pokémon world is visually one of the best in fiction. Mystery Dungeon (friend zones, dungeons like northern desert and sky tower, and midnight forest-especially the first two for their music), Pokemon Colosseum and Battle Revolution really made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
i was doing really frustrating math homework while listening to this, i defeated math homework and gained +99 knowledge! i almost cried when littleroot town came on, cuz that game was my second pokemon game i played(omega ruby), first being pokemon y which i got from my cousin.
I cried to this it reminds me of childhood of course I still am a child but the good years of when you never had to worry about anything just like play games relax and this music just brings it all back 🤧😢 thank you.
Ahh, as soon as the ORAS surf theme came on I was jamming. I have a connection to ORAS (namely Alpha Sapphire), i’ve spent the most time on it, grew my entire team to 100, had fun trading, battling, etc, and whenever I needed background music, i’d go to the ocean area next to New Mauville and let my character sit there while I do what I needed. Now, hearing that same theme kick on was... heartwarming, to say the least. Definitely shed a tear or two.

I don't think they should rush it. I haven't played SuMo but X&Y were pretty poorly optimised. Imagine if the Sinnoh remakes look like Let's Go Eevee and Pikachu? That would be cool. Who knows what their plan is. There have been rumours of a new generation in development too. I don't want Sinnoh on the 3DS, that engine sucks.
it's coming. the trend has been they skip a console between the original release and the remakes. 3DS was between DS and Switch so it should be coming soon possibly in the next gen.

Gen 5 (especially BW2) is super fun. U should also play explorers of sky. Best games imo

Ahh, as soon as the ORAS surf theme came on I was jamming. I have a connection to ORAS (namely Alpha Sapphire), i’ve spent the most time on it, grew my entire team to 100, had fun trading, battling, etc, and whenever I needed background music, i’d go to the ocean area next to New Mauville and let my character sit there while I do what I needed. Now, hearing that same theme kick on was... heartwarming, to say the least. Definitely shed a tear or two.

I don't want a Sinnoh remake, honestly. I think it would be amazing to just have a port of it on Switch
I don't think they should rush it. I haven't played SuMo but X&Y were pretty poorly optimised. Imagine if the Sinnoh remakes look like Let's Go Eevee and Pikachu? That would be cool. Who knows what their plan is. There have been rumours of a new generation in development too. I don't want Sinnoh on the 3DS, that engine sucks.
it's coming. the trend has been they skip a console between the original release and the remakes. 3DS was between DS and Switch so it should be coming soon possibly in the next gen.

I loved Pokémon as a kid but didn’t touch it for years and as a senior in high school I’m coming back. The music is amazing. I’m gonna play and beat every game.
