Students with ADHD who are distracted, defiant, restless, late turning in assignments, or sleepy may be showing signs of an anxiety disorder. Teachers can help these struggling students by understanding ADHD and its relationship to anxiety, establishing an effective home-school communication system, and conducting activities that are designed to reduce anxiety and stimulate the mind.
Psychologist Kimberly Harrison presents information to help teachers identify challenges and provides proven ways to help students be successful at school.
