I’ve been an airline pilot for 17 years. I don’t normally comment on videos because I don’t really know what to comment anyway. But for this video, you captured perfectly the routine during layovers. The boredom , the lack of meaningful human interaction and being away from family. I hate layovers. But I love your video. Thanks.
Great video as always. I admire your organization, self-discipline, and time you make for a spiritual practice. So important to have spirituality in today’s challenging world.
Thank you for sharing. I am glad I know what this life is in our industry. I am a former Purser Flight Attendant and yes I was so do glad I already lived in my base city before going into the industry. I did not commit at all.😊😊
I really enjoyed your video! But in the morning, everything is packed and ready to go before I put my uniform on, Lol... I do need to become more disciplined on my trips though. How long was that layover? Still at a regional so min rest is often a challenge. But I do lunges down the airplane aisle at a minimum!!
Thanks for watching! I always fully get ready before I pack because I can’t tell you how many time I’ve forgotten to get out socks or a t-shirt and have to dig back into my already packed bag for one. This particular layover was about 14 hrs but that’s definitely the exception. I do a lot of min-rest as well. I still try and maintain about the same routine even then.
Well done. I normally fast forward through people's videos, but with your videos I always watch without skipping ahead. It's fun to compare your routine to mine. Let's just say your a bit more disciplined. I will say I'm really good about pressing my uniform and plugging everything in before I head out for food and drinks. 😂
I used to care a lot more about that. Then I realized that I walk on the carpet in the hotel with my shoes that I wear all day and then I walk on the same carpet barefoot and don't bat an eye at it.
I could, however, my routine has not changed too much. I guess the the biggest change is that my overnights with Delta tend to be a little longer, so I strive to go out and explore more
Dan I’ve been at a regional for over a year but considering going where you are for better work environment & family QOL. How is your QOL /experience vs. regional experience. I Would like to connect to ask further questions.
I just ran across your videos… I’m entertaining a position with a regional and possibly a fractional. I saw your video about quitting Skywest and want to ask about NetJets… what do you think? Thank you!
Hey thanks for watching and for the comment. Unless you are dead set on flying 121, I would definitely consider going with NetJets over SkyWest. Better contract and better flying. I also think that the training at NetJets is a little better. Either road will get you to a major or a legacy if that is your end-goal.
@@DanPKing16 I appreciate your reply! Are you home-based? I’ve been flying a Cessna 441 Conquest II, and commute to wherever it is. Two weeks on-two weeks off.
At NetJets, you would be home based. They have over 100 different bases so you would more-than-likely never commute. And if you have to hop on a commercial flight, it’s a positive space flight and you have a ticket
I think it’s super that the guy does spiritual study, and all of your comments are soooo nice….but c’mon….I know I cannot be the ONLY ONE that watches this guy’s videos because he is super goodlooking and hot. I mean, when he gives us glimpses of his muscular legs. OMG. I GET SPIRITUAL all of a sudden! If he ever commuted on any of my flights, I’d be too nervous to serve him. 😍😍😍

Honestly, I don’t mind them. I stay occupied enough where they’re not bad. That’s the secret.

Watching this video is like watching myself from a distance during a layover. Perfectly captured. Great job 👍
Great videos man
I love it!!! Welcome back!!!

As always: Brilliant Video! Greetings from Germany!
Thanks man!
Back flying? Cool!
Yeah man!

Thanks for watching! Honestly, there are some nights where if I get those two things done, I count it a success.
That ringtone gives me nightmares. So much so it literally gives me anxiety. Showed this to my wife so she would know what it’s like thanks man.
Every time I hear it, I twitch. Glad you liked the video otherwise.
Love your content, this is so dope, a pilot vlogger yayyyy ❤
Overnight bag on the bed?! No, not unless you have two beds. I call that the eating bed. One bed, bag only aloud when packing up to leave.
Great video. I like the silence. Also, my wife said you “lost her” with the phone clip. And she likes the razor.
@@Zackbrooks737 They all mock the belt clip and then at the end of the trip, they ask me where I got it and how much.

@@DanPKing16 hahaha I bet. It’s kinda like a mini van. We have one of those too now.
Perfect video. As real as it gets. Greetings and happy landings from nepal ! Btw, still waiting for the luggage works executive review video.
Nepal?! That’s awesome! Sorry about the delay in the executive review video. Lots going on, but it’s coming.
weekly videos pleaseeeeee
No shot of the new jet? Come on bro haha
Perhaps down the road...
Can you do an updated routine video sir?
I could, however, my routine has not changed too much. I guess the the biggest change is that my overnights with Delta tend to be a little longer, so I strive to go out and explore more
@ that would be interesting to watch. Just small daily life vlogs.
I need to work out more. And, wallet...front pocket. It will change your life.
I tried that for a while and just couldn't get on board with it.

QOL is significantly better at NetJets than at the Regionals. Definitely happier, although I am jumping ship from NetJets soon.
Ok cool. So I’m guessing it’s not a long term winner? There are lots of opportunities out there.
It’s a great place and a great company, but you realize quickly you could make more somewhere else, working a little less.
@@DanPKing16 Thanks for the insight. I love your videos. God bless!

does TSA or immigration give you a hard time about the removable razor?
A shaving razor is authorized if that’s what you mean.
@@DanPKing16 yeah they gave me a hard time brining a safety razor into canada so i was wondering if yours was different.
@@sebastianruiz9811 I’ve had no problems
Those are two different razor blades. Safety razors are no go.

Interesting
What razor was that?
Sorry for responding so late. The company is “Supply.”
What are you doing for Bible study? What translation do you read?
During this video, I was in Ephesians and now I’m in Philippians. I use the NASB. I like the way it reads.
First view and comment. Yes!
Still waiting..
I can't say I miss that lifestyle at all! I'm thankful to be at the airline that doesn't have layovers. Great vid, enjoyed it!
Thanks man! What airline are you at?
