There's times he talks about the songs and seems extremely nervous, but then there's times like this where he seems happier than ever to share these stories. I find it quite interesting. Either way I could listen to Tyler talk for hours :)
I think the difference (at least from what I've seen, though I could of course be wrong) is that here he's telling the story behind making the song and little stories about the song, versus trying to explain the meaning. He always seems so sad when he's asked to explain the meanings. But I agree, I wish someone would make a 10 hour loop of him talking because that would be awesome.
I like how he mentioned how his purpose wasn't to be a rapper, but to get his message across. I performed Car Radio in front of my school and everyone was like, "You can rap!!"... I wasn't trying to rap though... I was just trying to say what the song meant to me and his lyrics were the perfect way to get my thoughts poured out.
I will never stop loving how he does whatever he wants to express himself and doesn't conform to "societal norms". Like accidentally rapping in order to get his message across. So much respect!

I was sat in a classroom the other day, and we were told to plan out a creative piece of writing for our assessment Our teacher then went on to say: "It can be a poem, a song, practically anything you wish" So a guy sat on my table said: "Can we do a rap?" and our teacher said we couldn't as they weren't meaningful or emotional so I was sat ranting about this on my table saying "well rapping in my opinion, is just saying/singing words very fast, so why can't it be emotional and meaningful. And who says what you call a "rap" can't be emotional or meaningful?!?" and I was so tempted to get my phone out and play one of Tyler or Tyler & Josh's songs to her. I think what Tyler does can't be contained in one certain genre. For instance when people ask me what genre band TOP is I don't really have an answer because they do everything. He "raps," they're alternative, they're punk, like it can't be contained. And I don't think he raps per say. I think he is just so passionate about what he's saying that he wants to get everything out so he has to say everything super fast to do so. Regardless of what anyone thinks, they are amazing people in an amazing band that blows me away constantly.
