Please I have a question, let's say one order for point of lay pullets and it took about 2 hours to transport them with a vehicle to the farm, I believe they would be stressed after the long drive. What is advisable to do when they get to the farm? Is there anything that should be added to their water? Should they be given feed right away?

      Yes.
You can give broiler starter for the first few Weeks, change to grower for some months and give broiler finisher to males for about 3 weeks before slaughter.
At sexual maturity and beginning of lay, you can give layer mash to the females

Thank you so much. Please have you heard about these chickens & their egg producttion, are they in Nigeria:
    ×× Isa Brown ××
    1.Rhode Island
    2. Australorp
    3. Leghorn
    4. Hybrid
    5. Plymouth rock
    6. Sussex
    7. Welsummer
    8. Wyandotte. Please 🙏🙏👏👌👍

I should not be allowed to graduate as an Animal Scientist if I have not.
Australorp, for example, won the World Record on egg production as a test hen laid 364 eggs in a year, missing only one day.
Those breeds are scarcely available in Nigeria. Few chicken lovers and breeders have them in scanty figures across Nigeria. I think we have more of those chicken lovers in the Northern part of Nigeria.

    • @dana4264
      @dana4264 ปีที่แล้ว

Yes, because a man can give birth.

    • @GraceAdeleke

The answer is no. They can't because the don't have female reproductive system. It just has we have it in human gender. Men can't reproduce.
      I believe it's clear
