This week we cross from Funen to Sjaelland where we search for the BEST ICE-CREAM in Denmark.
We spend time with friends around Roskilde (visit the Viking Museum!) before we stumble onto on of the best kite surfing spots in Denmark...

This lovely couple produce such amazing videos for us all to enjoy. They are worth it, believe me. I have been following them all over Europe and even when they ventured down to Morocco. The quality of their content is tremendous. I know, Lisa has a penchant for pastries and ice cream and Andre is very annoying with his ability to do pretty much everything. He can fix things, he can cook amazing meals, he can run, kite surf and is very good looking. Ok, the last bit is a lie. But they are a wonderful, energetic, youthful, refreshing young couple who deserve and have earned our subs. Nike.... Just Do it......

That's an impressive bridge. Interesting fact about the pylon height. The Viking museum looks really interesting. We have a strong connection with the Viking era here in Scotland. You're still smashing those van meals André. The food looks delicious. And stopping Lisa from shopping could be your biggest challenge yet.😁

In the Good Old Days we had ferries crossing, loved by those without an actual need to cross except a few times a year, and now You have crossed during the time needed, optimally, before the ferry sailed, for an hour (and not always when I needed to sail, during nights)! Also for trains (Now in a tunnel below, at least for the last part and the high bridge). I like that you don't find it that expensive, but by now it has paid its costs and could be free, as any other road in Denmark! But we have ferries to the sides, still needing payment and this is why we still have to pay! Finn. Denmark
Definitely quicker and more convenient than a ferry!

Next time you should visit Møns Klint. It is one of the most beautyful spots in Denmark
Møns Klint was one of our very first stops in Denmark 2 years ago (there is a video). We really liked that area!

Enjoy the consistent optimism and cheerfulness of the vids. Been to DK at least 7 times, last year spending 5 weeks travelling the back roads to visit family and friends. It is our second home! We enjoy it so much!

What do you think will be the latest to come out of Denmark (Just assuming the weather is normal)? I am looking to spend sometime there next yean ... but keen to avoid the busiest times.
Thank you! We would say early August to early September weather is best and it's a lot less busy once the Danish schools go back. But don't hold us to it! 😜 Maybe we'll see you there next year! 😊
May, june is best. July is holiday time for the Danes usually good weather too.
Did you not see Kronborg Castle, where Holge Dansk sits, when you were/are on Sjælland?
Unfortunately, we did not go to Helsingør this time. A few years ago, we took the ferry from there to Helsingborg.

The best ice cream on Sjælland (and maybe in Denmark) is from Social Foodies (in my opinion).
It's only in Greater Copenhagen but man is it good. They make everything from scratch.
They even source their own cocoa beans and make their own chocolate for the ice cream.

The pylons are not the highest man made point in Denmark. They are 254 moh (meter over the sea) but Rø transmitter are 431,2 moh.....a bit higher.

Sadly, it's been on and off this year, but there have been some really nice weeks in between. In fact the last 2 weeks were almost too hot! 😁
