Hi, no it isn't. I do not think the FE Exam will cover the method since it can be involved. So just knowing it's a common method for channel and river routing will possibly help with those conceptual questions. Most importantly, knowing the concept behind the importance of routing too.
Conceptually yes, calculation wise, I think it may be excessive. Understanding the routing process of inflow and outflow hydrographs is related to Civil, especially water resources.
