    Good luck man! I just recently started a new job which involved me moving out of state at 20 years old. I’m a mechanic as well, just on cars. It’s scary at first but once u get past the first few days you’ll love it. Especially if you make friends with people who also work there.

    I recently left my job at the state and moved to VA for a diesel tech job. I bought a big toolbox and the same cart as you. The big box is storage. The other techs want the roll cart now. Good luck man.

    as far as ratchets go, my favorite brand has to be Ko-Ken, they have the lowest back drag in the game meaning that you can tighten a bolt from completely loose without having to hold the socket or tighten by hand first, they offer a 36 tooth and a 72 tooth ratchet selection which is just awesome, keep up the great work and hope to see more updates on the tools

    Get yourself a set of the thin wrenches form olsa. You will surprise yourself how handy they are to use in tight spaces where you would use a channel lock. Pick up magnet for that bolt you always drop. Headlamp/quality flashlight for the tight dark spaces.

    I’m not a mechanic, but i own a ton of tools. If you dont already have some at home, i highly suggest picking up a pair of Knipex Alligator pliers or Knipex Cobra’s (just the quick adjust version of the same plier). They used to be cheaper but seems like the prices have shot up on Amazon. best pump pliers youll even find, still worth what they’re asking for em. its a purchase you wont regret. the jaws are nice and thin with indestructible teeth, and a way more adjustment then standard groove style water pump pliers like Channellock. . I’d suggest at least the 10” size, and maybe the 7” or 5” to follow. Good luck at the new job. Having to start over somewhere new is always a challenge.

      @scod3908 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Knipex stuff is the best of the best when it comes to pliers. Check out the knipex plier wrench. The flat jaws with force/grip multiplication thru levers is amazing. I use them all the time, they're the best tool I've ever owned.
      Rarely reach for pump pliers, linesman pliers, vise grips, and they don't have teeth so they don't ruin expensive/rare fittings!

    Just watched your original video about getting all of those tools and thought it was awesome. I my self am going to be starting a mechanics program in the fall where I will work on Toyota cars and what you got for tools gave me a good idea of what I should be thinking about buying so thank you, also I would like to say that in my opinion you lucked out with the color scheme of that raptor I love the look of the red and white, it kind of reminds me of My 1986 Honda atc200x that I have that is all white with a red frame. I have always wanted a raptor but unfortunately I live in the northwest and a raptor in the condition that one is in would be like 1700-2500 dollars and I just don't have the money, but life is not all bad, I do have the privilege of having a Yamaha warrior that is a lot of fun If you want to see it I have a couple of videos of it on my channel along with the atc200x.

    Good luck with your new job. I got a Polaris 400 sport an it's souped up to 70 horsepower. That's what the dealer estimate it at after all the work he done to it.

      Dude…I love the Polaris Sport! I’ve always wanted the 1995 Polaris Sport 40th (I think) anniversary edition…it’s a Sport 400 but it wears the utility body work from like a Trail Boss…I’m always looking for that specific model

      @@andyspeedshop I think mine is 96 or 97 it's yellow an purple. I still have the oil injected so I dont have to mix the oil an gas. When I put it in reverse I have to press the override button because it would not go.
      I love my bike when it was running I would out run the banshees an other bikes.

    I watched the first video and if I recall correctly from that you new new job is with a powersports dealer. Sounds like fun, congratulations. I do wonder why you bothered spending all that money on SAE stuff though. I would have spent that on clutch pullers, a bunch more Torx stuff and probably long needlenose pliers. What will you be using the SAE stuff for?

    • @andyspeedshop
      @andyspeedshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just want to cover all the bases - we will also be selling and servicing Bad Boy mowers, which are manufactured here in the U.S. and probably use SAE hardware.

    • @AllajchaSibir
      @AllajchaSibir 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@andyspeedshop I'm no stranger to buying more than I might need either, and I love tools as much as the next guy :P These days most toys are all metric and yes, lawnmowers tend to be SAE, especially the US made ones. So I would have just picked out the most common sizes and call it good. Anyway, I do notice one other thing missing, but maybe I missed it: snap ring pliers. You might want to look into getting a decent selection of those. I forgot to bring mine when I was working on my sled last month and it was a royal pain! A bearing splitter/puller might also be a good idea.
