I follow NA drama & i think the main reason why they didnt improve is because of NA players ego. They are multiple clips showing they didnt listen to others (coach/members) because of their ego. I mean, i remember chcken said they didnt need a coach or analyst because they can do it on their own.
They went to the Philippines for a bootcamp and everything, but from what I’ve heard, even Mobazane said that instead of improving, the team’s synergy actually got worse. So I think the problem might be with both the coach and the players. You can see it in their performance, they have the advantage in the early game, but they always fall short in the late game. For example, Zane's Alpha against Falcon, they had a strong early game in both matches, but I don’t get why they keep making the same mistakes in the late game, which is why they can’t close out the game. As for the draft, honestly, Midnight is just too predictable. I also heard from Mielow that Sir Rose (analyst/assistant coach) was supposed to be their main drafter on stage, but since only one person is allowed up there to assist the players during the tournament, it ended up being just Midnight.

Not even excuse, na has more competition compared to turkey, nact grandfinals were actually closer than mtc grandfinals , 4-3, c9 won just because gg was choking, and they had their morale down in last two games, though you can all agree that level of top 1 and top 2 team in na is not equal, but really close. Despite having no real competition turkey managed to impove a lot( their top 2 team(s2g) was choking hard in international scene, and in mtc ff just gapped them), while na is stuck on the same level . It's all about player's discipline, synergy and communication. Ff has same members last few years and they managed to build up their synergy a lot past few years, yet individually they're good too.

i think i said this around m4... meta is not only about hero pool.. its also the macro of the team.. so when MP said about zane regarding m3 meta, i immediately remember what i notice about his game... his game is stuck in funnel strat guys.. his demand on roamers to the way he needed a roamer like in m3 meta's jungling pattern and what roamers should do like giving visions in particular time is very funnel strat.. even if he's playing tanks, the habbit is still in there.. karltzy also struggled with that before when he was transitioning from assassins to tanks.. when his teammates are supposed to protect the jungler but the tank jg meta is not like that anymore and should be the jungler will protect and zone the core/carries which is the laners (gold, mid, and exp)..
So why he in pro scene than? I think pros need to adjust and adapt quick to become a good player okay maybe they gonna struggle a little bit but still they need to adapt quickly

One thing i also notice from NA downfall is that they just become softer, if u watch zane old stream or chickn or victor old stream like before M3 started, they were honest and ruthless in discussing things, they will argue all the times, if u do bad and play like a brainrot person they will straight up say u play bad and doesn't act like a pro, there's no layer just straight to the point. One thing that make M3 BTK so strong is their bond, always watch out for each other and respect every single members of the team nonetheless.
Many factors for NA. One is lack of professional league, that means no full time bootcamp, no salaries, no contracts which causes players not to stick around if the going gets though. Another is lack of players outside of asian descent. Most players in NACT are asians who first played the game in southeast asia, migrated to the US then start forming teams. These dudes do not speak english as their first language which can be a factor for guys like mobazane. GG is literally a filipino team with mobazane on it. Another factor is ping with players scattered on a country as big as america. NA really cant improve given its current circumstances.
Finally some facts spoken. NA players focus too much on drama and not focusing on different ways to improve themselves. When people try to correct them, they ignore and just stay in their own comfort zone. Guess what? They are the ones paying the price for not being able to perform consistently. Stop having the “rank” mentality if you want to go for professional scene. As of today, it’s not worth for Moonton to even focus on NA server.
You wanna know why? Cuz Zane doesnt know any assassins, yeah sure he does some Lance here and there. But Ling? Fanny? Haya? These are always the standards. Doesn't even try to practice it. Hero pool alone he is at disadvantage because the opponent team already has a lot more room for target banning
Junglers are always the most demanding role in any MOBA. You need to be good at all tank/bruiser/burst/ranged jungle heroes - while all of them has different play pattern. Let's be honest, almost every meta hero is warped around meta junglers

I won't say M3 meta. Its surely M4 meta where tank junglers were unstoppable and lord/turtle fights shaped the games immensely. Not only Zane but entire NA have not caught up to the current meta's Micro and Macro. Learning Meta heroes doesn't suddenly make you strong in the meta. So many other factors are way more important. Till they don't fix this they will always lag behind and no amount of off shore bootcamp is going to help

NA sucks because if we compare with other games, NA has that problem in understanding what Meta is. Whether it be an FPS, Moba or something, they just cannot grasp whatever Meta is presented to them and still do the normal thing they do in NA tournaments. Why they are doing the normal things? No strong scrim partners, being in NA sucks because they don’t have strong scrim partners. LATAM is a very weak region IMO for them to scrim with and EU is nonexistent in ML. Comparing to Dota, League and CS, they have EU teams scrimming them which are really strong at PC but nonexistent in Mobile. When they cannot find good scrim partners, bootcamping can be a solution but as well you have to grind and prep for these things. Treat scrims like actual games and have that mindset wherein, if we have this problem, need to fix this ASAP not feign ignorance and just “we’ll get the next set” bullsh--. Finally some facts spoken. NA players focus too much on drama and not focusing on different ways to improve themselves. When people try to correct them, they ignore and just stay in their own comfort zone. Guess what? They are the ones paying the price for not being able to perform consistently. Stop having the “rank” mentality if you want to go for professional scene. As of today, it’s not worth for Moonton to even focus on NA server.

I won't say M3 meta. Its surely M4 meta where tank junglers were unstoppable and lord/turtle fights shaped the games immensely. Not only Zane but entire NA have not caught up to the current meta's Micro and Macro. Learning Meta heroes doesn't suddenly make you strong in the meta. So many other factors are way more important. Till they don't fix this they will always lag behind and no amount of off shore bootcamp is going to help

True that they had a coach in Midnight, doesn’t Ospreay know that Midnight used to be a coach under NXP with Zico? Goodluck breaking the meta Billy boy Ospreay and hopefully your two months would be enough than what NA does.
NA sucks because if we compare with other games, NA has that problem in understanding what Meta is. Whether it be an FPS, Moba or something, they just cannot grasp whatever Meta is presented to them and still do the normal thing they do in NA tournaments. Why they are doing the normal things? No strong scrim partners, being in NA sucks because they don’t have strong scrim partners. LATAM is a very weak region IMO for them to scrim with and EU is nonexistent in ML. Comparing to Dota, League and CS, they have EU teams scrimming them which are really strong at PC but nonexistent in Mobile. When they cannot find good scrim partners, bootcamping can be a solution but as well you have to grind and prep for these things. Treat scrims like actual games and have that mindset wherein, if we have this problem, need to fix this ASAP not feign ignorance and just “we’ll get the next set” bullsh--. Double the effort and don’t stream your ranked games. Sacrifice things that you hold dear and it will bear success. Or else let Guam take NA’s best.
