I think their executive right now is awesome, it has a nice river style grain like they had 4 years ago. For a long while their ironed calfskin was very wrinkly, which I actually liked but many folks didn't, I'm happy to see the change. You should give their burgundy a try cause the dye IMO changes the top grain and actually brings out the grain and softens it up a bit.....plus it's a beautiful color in person. I had a bit of a falling out with lcbp ....well just bible collecting all together, but after a year of reflection and "life" I've gained respect for what they do more than ever before. I can't wait to buy a new one and review it with a new perspective and humble spirit in Christ. Thanks for sharing your bibles, gives me hunger to read and share the joy of His word.
I can't comment on the older style but now it is beautiful, soft and smooth. I have seen a big difference in signature leather....almost thought it was basic it was so different from the one I show in another video. I'm glad you said that. I have their burgundy Notetaker's Bible. I love the color, and burgundy has always been one of my favorites. Overall quality is excellent so I was a bit disappointed about your recent reviews of LCBP. (I bought my bible over a year ago. The only issue with it, is that the printing often disappears into the shadow of the fold unless I have the light just right. I can bring it back by pressing with my thumb, but I think the next bible I get will have bigger inner margins. In fact, I just ordered the Thompson from Church Publishers but haven't received it yet. I feel a bit guilty because I haven't completely read through the Notetaker, but I decided I like the references. I use the Kindle 4-in-one Strong's concordance and dictionary, but would still like the references. There's actually a Kindle version of the Thompson's, but for some reason they didn't include the Bible books in the Table of Contents, so it confuses a lot of people. They think there isn't a Bible there, or they don't know how to get to it on their reader.

Just curious which you like better the calfskin or the top grain. I had the 355 in basic and just ordered the 120 signature top grain. I'll probably get a calf skin down the road. Or the note less classic in lambskin.
I have both of those Bibles and love them the hand size 180 is my carry bible and I gave the 115 to my granddaughter as the font is a little too small for me great review Lord bless
Hello there, I wonder if you could tell me the height of the 115E1B? I ask this because the initial picture of it on the LCBP site says its 7.75 but on another pic of it on the same page it says it's 8.75. Thanks in advance!
From edge to edge of the leather from top to bottom it is 7 5/8" if just page edge to page edge, top to bottom it is 7"....from side to side binding to edge of leather it is 5 1/16" or from binding to edge of paper it is 4 7/8"....hope that makes sense.
excellent review, pastor! thank you. i had this exact question: what's the real difference between executive and signature series. this helps tremendously--more so than the description on their website. Personally, for daily use i think i'd prefer the more flexible executive; for my bug out bag (when events in the last book of The Book start), the signature looks much tougher/durable. i would add, i believe the publisher--LCBP--is selling these at cost, as a commitment to getting the Word out. so, for me, i'll seriously consider adding a 'love offering' to the purchase.

GLE no longer makes their Bibles. for the same quality check out www.churchbiblepublishers.com. I have asked them to be honest with you customers and remove the bindery video from their website. See for yourself that the same guy is making on both videos.

Very hard to say I like both but for different reasons. The calfskin is very professional looking, the top grain looks rugged and tough.
