I'm 62 and vegan for 7 years now. I take no medications and have perfect blood work. People need to eat not just for how they feel in the present moment but how they want to feel as they age. Clogged arteries from eating animal products are why there is an abundance of blood pressure medications prescribed, and all kinds of health problems including strokes, heart attacks, dementia, and kidney failure. I was a caregiver to elderly parents and a grandmother for a total of 17 years. I know what the Standard American Diet can do. Thank you, Doctor, for telling the truth about food causing so many illnesses.

    • @rozchristopherson648
      @rozchristopherson648 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@Ki77a_WhSpRz Yes, B12, Vitamin D. Magnesium and Calcium. Occasionally iron. I get enough protein from beans/legumes. Any other supplements I take are not because my diet is lacking but just to enhance my vegan diet. If people eat enough food, they are not going to be deficient. The greater concern is the effects of animal protein and fat accumulating over time in the arteries (arterial plaque). That is what is causing heart attacks, strokes, kidney failure, dementia, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, etc. Millions of people are receiving medications and surgical procedures for these reasons. And no one complains. The cardiology department is the biggest department in every hospital. Yet there are virtually no people in the US dying from deficiencies in a vegan diet but everyone seems overly concerned about supposed vegan deficiencies. I don’t understand the obsession.

I cut on dairy (did not fully eliminate it) and have not used my asthma meds in years. My husband keeps using his inhaler multiple times daily and refuses to avoid dairy (especially at night which affects his sleep too). Cannot teach a 50+ year old new tricks!! He would attempt eating healthy, and gives up after 1 week , and he is a picky eater. I was picky myself, but would at least try food I don't like for couple of weeks and find ways to enjoy it. Carbs are my weakness since I grew up in the middle east where bread and rice are always there every day.

    Hello All
I was diagnosed with sciatica in 2018. I’ve had pain in my back or some discomfort everyday since. They recommended physical therapy which I didn’t do (too expensive). I finally went in 2022; cost $1,500. I’m 60 and retired on a fixed income. Thank God I’m not on any medications. Like most people I’ve indulged in an unhealthy eating lifestyle but I’ve always done something to maintain good health which is why I applaud Dr. Bobby for providing this information to help me do better. If it means eliminating certain foods I’m all for it because I want to feel better.

I wanted to share, as a 63 old woman that was weighing between 118-120 lbs, I lost 6 pounds. I found out I was not getting enough protein in my body. I stopped eating red meat and poultry. So I added 100% BIO Organic lamb, not from stores so I eat it once in awhile. You are correct about the grass fed, there are 2 types of 100% grass fed, grass fed and grass finished. The grass finished are animals that were started on a grass diet but received supplemental grain feed, so they being fed slop. We difinately have to check the source and labels. It's not easy. For the most part I try to eat most plant based food. It's a journey that I started on 3 months ago, a work in progress. God bless.

Hello Dr. Bobby Price, I am 65 years old and I don't take any medication. I am a country girl that grew up in Mississippi. My family grew every thing we ate, this was how we lived back in the day. I thought this was the worst life ever, I could not wait to leave home. Now, as I look around, I now look forward to eating the way my Mom forced me to eat back in the day. I ate vegetables and fruit everyday. My Mom was a housewife and she cooked 365 days a year, three times a day in the summer when we were out of school doing the summer months. I am enjoying your knowledge. I tell my friends and family that I am going to live to 125 years. My Grandmother lived to 116 years, she was never sick, I watched her aged and I can remember going to her mother funeral. I think my father family has longevity. I am taking in everything you say brother. As a historian, I have made you one of my " Great Black Master Teachers ". Thanks for the love.

@Evang Darnicia Nash I don't think I am just started taking it this week. I feel like the urgency of craving calms, I although I've wanted something sweet. After taking, I didn't feel over ruled. Plus from what I understand if you do have sweets after taking it. The sweets don't taste good. I don't even want to test that lol. So it's another thing that's been keeping me on track this week. My biggest reason for stopping, is because it was becoming an e everyday habit. I'm not taking junk like oreros, or Reese cups. I would get the organic high quality type sweets. And it was just to dang expensive. 2 cups were over about 2.50 and the cookies I loved although very clean brand simple mills chocolate chip are normally about 5 bucks for a little box. Not worth it so regularly. Although for me they were gulit free, because of ingredients list very clean, and simple. The guilt came in the form of this is expensive to have every week.

Thank you. This confirms a lot of my findings. With all the recent plant and livestock fires happening around the country mainly aired on social media, I’ve literally become more and more paranoid from eating anything nowadays. The food is literally killing us hence why big pharma is also profiting.
My body is extremely sensitive and it reacts immediately mostly 90% of the time. My biggest issue is inflammation & bloating and it will last for hours. Although I can go extended fasting hours without eating it benefits me in exchange of suffering from what I consume.
Meat on the other hand is the devil and for years I suffered with being constipated so I eat very little of it selectively.
I was born and raised in the Caribbean and ever since I’ve lived here in the USA, I knew immediately the food I was consuming is not good. And it’s gotten worse over the years.
My advice: Grow your own healthy food and it will save you in the long run. So long the powers that be don’t eventually take that right away from you.
    Blessings to everyone. Happy living.
    Thank you doc.🙏🏾

    1-Are dwarf fruit trees okay?
2- is olive oil ok? The body uses glucose and oxygen to make a.t.p.
3-Can cells make a.t.p. from oil?

    Hi Bobby..
Just discovered u!...how come? And I try to watch all these utube drs. But what I like..love..about ur presentation is that u explain ur presentations in a simple practical way...without drawing on these long winded scientific writings and theoretical experiments...complicated scientific terms and words ...studies..studies ..without giving the foods u need to eat on a daily basis to cure what bothering u. As someone from the Caribbean...we grew up eating what we called a balanced diet...that is...a little of everything...my mother and Aunts are living until 99 to 100+. We ate meat from grass fed cows that the butchers took their fields every morning to eat grass and they wd bring home bundles of grass on their heads to feed the animals when they were tired to go to the field. They grew yams and potatoes..so we got our fibre from roots tubers...so maybe u are talking to mostly the American people....However, I drink a conction of stinging nettle I get from the bushes, ginger, tumeric, morenga leaves, pine needles from my pine trees... my beef presently comes from my butcher who sells grass fed beef...and I eat few cubes in stews with lots of vegetables....liver for B12..cow foot for collagen..etc so that is what our parents called a balanced diet...a little of everything...lots of sour orange and lime juice when these fruits are in season...and we use coconut oil to cook our food. So much of what u explain ...is for the modern young people who didnt learn how to eat from their parents and are following the bad examples of Americans. During mango season..we ate basins of mangoes for lunch and dinner..because they were so plentiful in the bushes..the travesty is that these fruit trees are being destroyed to build houses everywhere...I am even giilty..I had to cut down a soup sop tree and lime tree to expand my house..but I have another one in the yard. But the depletion of fruits is caused from the results of modernization. Keep up the good work and u are a healthy, good looking black man..😁😁

Thank you! I do eat lots of vegetables. I was looking for direction and examples of what I can use replace the specific items he mentioned. For example: use olive oil instead of canola oil, use tofu instead of eggs, etc. I’ve since located a few good videos that have yummy dairy-free breakfast recipes AND lunch/dinner ideas. Tabitha Brown’s videos have been very informative and inspirational. I’ve also found other videos Dr. Price shared that have a specific list of his “go-to” foods for fruits, veggies, nuts and seeds. His webpage also has a tab to purchase the organic fruit that he grows. I’m super excited to learn about healthier options. Again, thank you for your thoughtful reply.💞
