Hey Matthew, how're you doing? Amblyopia is one of those weird things; if the amblyopic eye isn't corrected by say, 6 or 7 yrs old, all the wiring between the eyes and the brain is already done, and the vision in the worse eye will always be a little off, regardless of whether you wear contacts/ specs or not. But I don't know your history, and I wouldn't be able to give you advice over the internet anyways, so have a chat with your doctor or optometrist and they'll clue you up a lot better than me! Hope this helps! :-)
This makes me think... Is it bad if your eyes see colours differently? For example, I can cover one eye and I can see that things look like one eye sees cooler colours better, while the other sees warmer colours better. I'm hoping this is normal 🙈
Yep, I get this too; IRL it's all about perspective, what kinda lighting you're sitting in, whether you need specs/contacts and aren't wearing them etc etc etc... But mention it to your optometrist/doctor the next time you're there so s/he can test you in a clinical setting...this'll put your mind at ease :-)

Weird. 😐) And it says they're MDs. I know there are different types of different things but again, I'm naturally curious. @@LladyLlamanade Ha, no, I’m not an MD. In the UK we have optometrists (me) and then ophthalmologists (medical doctors who specialise in eyes). But (and here’s where it gets confusing) optometrists here can carry out neuro ophthalmological examinations, but if the patient needs treatment or further investigation, the optometrist has to refer that patient to an ophthalmologist. That’s how it works here! I think it’s a little different in the US 😊
Yes, the number 12 plate is the control, everyone can see it. But fear not, you can still see colours, you just see them a lil differently to the rest of us, that’s all. Are you red/green colour deficient?
