I use a Laser Tech Rangefinder which uses laser to measure distance to the tree bole then a measurement to the tree’s top or leader shot & then finally a bottom bole shot to calculate the height of the tree. We can also reference that laser height using a relaskop, which like the laser rangefinder this tool corrects for slope. The distance calculation can be measured by logger tape or laser tech rangefinder laser. The fast & most accurate tool is the ideal one to own & use.
