Love your presentation. I use vertical for catch all, dashboard for lists and a habit tracker in the grid area…and a horizontal for faith and gratitude. This is frankinplanned so only the vertical is the whole year. Hope this makes sense. I also have an additional journal for food, temperature and weather, weight, tracking steps and what I wore to events (which is usually blank these days)
Nice! Yes, I like the frankenplan system. It is so much easier to have it all in one instead of switching back and forth between different planners everyday.
This is so helpful and well presented! Congrats being on the squad, you’re a great addition to the team! I love the vertical planners and started using the colour block layout this year. I considered a vertical lined for next year as I use it as a catch all and journal. This video has given me options to think about. Thank you!
Thanks! I am very happy to be on the squad this year, and I am glad that you enjoyed the video. A vertical lined would be great for the catch-all/journal combo!
Definitely glad I came across this video because it now confirms why I continue to go back to the vertical layout after trying horizontal and daily (hourly) layout. I will keep my horizontal as a faith planner for 2022 since I originally bought it as an 18-month (July 2021-December 2022). I use to use the SOAP method during my studies but strayed away from it. I have been using the Erin Condren for the last year but for 2022 have decided to go back to Happy Planner, vertical layout. You have a new subbie also. Great content!
Love this information and your ideas for use on the planners! I especially love how you are using the teacher planners and the ideas for it. I saw this video at a great time to catch the 48 hr flash sale they are having. I stocked up on the teacher planners to use for different ideas.
TFS. I enjoyed this video very much. I'm also a vertical gal and really want to use the budget planner but consistency seems and issue. 😁 I LOVE using a mini dash for my bills. I also have a recipe planner that I'm building on and wellness that I think I'm going to pull out again. So glad you shared this.
Thank You Elisa for going over these. I see some layouts I could use for different things. Especially the one for lists and the teacher. I'm a list maker; checking off items gives me a sense of accomplishment. The teacher planner with M-F would be great for work. I started keeping work and home items in the catch-all since I work from home, but it's messing with my work/life balance a bit. I look forward to this new series and what you have to share with us!
I felt the same way when I had my work and personal things all on one planner. It overwhelmed me, so I enjoy keeping them separate. And, I totally identify with the lists...it feels so good to check things off.
Loved this video! You really explained them all so well. My favorites are the dashboard and color block (ever since the socialite planner of 2019). Both of these are so easy for placing tasks into categories. :)
Thank you for doing these.. I love washi tape and ''decorating'' but for planners I found it was ''too much'' at least for me... I like simple.. I bought a 2023 happy planner and cant wait to find my groove with it.. For now I put in all my pay days and days off for myself and my family. I am a ''as it comes'' kind of person. but since I am writing my second bood, this would be good to help me track my words per day/week. and write down my favorite verses. I have a ''catch all'' digital planner as well..
I loved this video. Great explanation of the various planners and uses. In my past work life I used planners but found I spent more time writing in the planners and moving unfinished to do’s to another week and not getting the work done. When I got rid of the planner and only used my phone calendar for meetings I was much more productive and projects finished on time or ahead of schedule. I really like the idea of planners but for my brain to function I can’t use one. I have a running list by category in my head. I appreciate your information and still like watching all your planning videos. Blessings Elisa
Thank you for this overview, I came up with so many ideas as you described the different planners. I’m excited to try the checklist layout in 2022 as my catch-all planner and the recovery edition (kind of dashboard) HP for my mental health journal. I’ve been using a recovery edition this year and it has really helped me jot down notes and tracking for my therapy sessions.
@ScrappyWife Hi I’ve been into planning and organizing, and have watched some of your videos and found them helpful and I also like the way you explain things.❤ I have found that I like the horizontal layout because it has a lot of space. But I’m also into time blocking and hourly schedule.📆 Is it possible to combine the two, using a horizontal layouts and hourly schedule? How to do a hourly schedule in a horizontal planner?🤔
Oh man I wish past me could have seen this video before getting my first Happy Planner on a whim in Michaels 😂 I'm a dashboard gal now! but my first one was a vertical layout and boy howdy did it NOT work for me! so glad I found the dashboard one on sale in September - total game changer for me using my planner!
Haha, sometimes you do have to give it a try before you decide if it works for you or not. The dashboard scared me for a while, but it is super functional in the end.
Awesome I love series to watch! I’m actually using the book 📖 one for my quotes as I read my books this year. I have decided to use the vertical for my husbands health . ( vertical is not for me otherwise.) My planner peace is the dashboard layout. I’m also going to try the monthly layout the stores in my area are just getting the 2022 HP in now .
Thank ou so much for making this video. I am new to Happy Planners (got my 1st one last weekend) and I have had some trouble finding the practice reasons people have the layouts they do. This was so helpful!
I have to temp cancel my membership 😭 but I'll still be watching! You've inspired me to get into God's word everyday and have quiet time with Him! Ty💜💜💜
This is a great video thanks for sharing FYI Student and colorblock are different one has more blocks one has 6 one has 7 . I think student has 7 like the teacher for 7 subjects
Helpful just doesn't cover it. I had no idea a monthly planner could look like that, I thought it was just a month layout 😳 but the one you showed has me too excited and I just feel is screaming at me to find one and try it because nothing has helped me except making list I usually loose 😅 and having my monthly layout with the important stuff♡
Very helpful video on different layout pages. Truly helping me to decide what layout is best for me. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
I'm intrigued by all of the layouts, each for different reasons and uses. Thank you
Glad the video was helpful in explaining a bit.
Thank you for showing the different options.
You are very welcome!
Oh I really need to watch this again and take notes 😮. This is so thorough and helps me a lot 😃
Yay, glad it was so helpfuL!
Love all the ideas first ways to use each layout! Thank you so much ❤
You’re welcome!
I loved this look at all of the different layouts - thank you for showing them all to us.

Wow! Such a helpful video! Thank you very much!

Ty for going over this. Big help! May look into horizontal for faith next year
Aw, yay! I am glad it was helpful! I know that not everyone is into planning like me, but I thought the explanation may be helpful for some.
I just found this video and even though I’ve been an HP devotee for a few years I found this refresher beneficial. Love the content of your videos!💙💛🪴

I feel the same way about the budget planner. I love the idea of using it, but I struggle with consistency!
Thank you for sharing this information. I am definitely in need of direction!!

Thanks Vickie! I know you are not into planners, but thanks for always supporting my videos. I really appreciate it!
💛 looking forward to the series

I have been seriously considering the recovery edition for a wellness planner as well. I like the built in mood-tracker, which seems super helpful.

Hi I’ve been into planning and organizing, and have watched some of your videos and found them helpful and I also like the way you explain things.❤
I have found that I like the horizontal layout because it has a lot of space. But I’m also into time blocking and hourly schedule.📆
Is it possible to combine the two, using a horizontal layouts and hourly schedule?
How to do a hourly schedule in a horizontal planner?🤔
Hmm, I feel like perhaps you could draw a vertical line through the hourly to create a time block space.

I find the monthly layout so intriguing! I want to use it, but I am not quite sure how to fit it into my typical lineup....
Thank ou so much for making this video. I am new to Happy Planners (got my 1st one last weekend) and I have had some trouble finding the practice reasons people have the layouts they do. This was so helpful!
You are so welcome! This June, I have a more in-depth look at different layouts, so stay tuned!
I have to temp cancel my membership 😭 but I'll still be watching! You've inspired me to get into God's word everyday and have quiet time with Him! Ty💜💜💜
Totally understand Bekhy! I am glad you'll still be around!
I like that you are using the teacher layout for wellness planning….🤔🤔hmmmmmm…..
The cool thing about using it this way is that you can buy an out of date one on clearance and still use it!
This is a great video thanks for sharing FYI Student and colorblock are different one has more blocks one has 6 one has 7 . I think student has 7 like the teacher for 7 subjects
Good to know!
Do you sell your pages, so I can print them.
These are all directly from Happy Planners!

Thanks for watching Ann!

Yes! I feel like the monthly layout is perfect for list makers! I really want to give that one a try as well!
