The quiet Greek fishing village you must visit for total relaxation

Driving 10 minutes to the north of the city of Preveza in Epirus, Greece, you'll meet the beautiful, quite coastal village of Mitikas (or Mytikas). This is the perfect place for total and complete relaxation while you enjoy staring at the sea for hours and hours until the sun sets.
But don't get fooled by this footage as it was filmed just after sunrise. The village gets really crowded by locals and tourists during the summer months (especially from late July to late August). There are many options as far as accommodation goes and the same goes for fish taverns and coffee shops.
The village of Mitikas offer its own beaches, but I highly suggest you visit the beautiful sandy beaches of Kanali, Monolithi, Kastrosykia and Artolithia, that are only a few minutes drive away.
What makes this place special, is that is in the middle of some of the most popular summer destinations in Greece. The village is located:
- 10 minutes away from Preveza
- 36 minutes away from the island of Lefkada
- 47 minutes away from Parga
- 45 minutes away from Acheron River Springs
