Hey, thanks a ton for showing us how to do this! I've checked out your vid, along with a bunch of others, to get a grip on this process. I've popped a feature request over to Canva, because some of these steps are a real drag. I think they could make our lives easier by streamlining it. Here's what I suggested to them: - An instant, in-app file transfer so we don't have to bounce stuff around the internet. - An easy-peasy way to convert black colors into custom frame shapes. I mean, there's so much info out there on how to create custom frame shapes and stuff like that. These common tasks should be baked right into Canva! It's a pain to have to download, then re-upload files just to keep working on them in Canva.
i just learned so much in this video! do you teach more about inkscape and canva? i would love to learn how to take say multiple patterns and blend the edges together to make things like the polyester key chains, earings, etc
Thank you for this!! I bought a Canva alphabet frame and was about to purchase another when I thought there has to be a better (I.e less expensive) way.
I have some doodle letters that I bought on Etsy where I don't have to move the black outline out of the way in canva to access the frame, how is this achieved??
This is the BEST tutorial anywhere on how to create frames. Thank you so very much for your work!!!
Thanks! I'm glad it was helpful.
That’s a helpful tutorial, finally someone uses Canva and Inkscape. Can you do more Inkscape tutorials please

Yep...have fun making your own now! :)
Great video. I watched your video on making doodle letters, I'm guessing that you could import them into Canva as well?
I have the latest version of Inkscape but I'm not getting the Export-pdf option. I can save to pdf. Any idea how to get this going?
Where did you get the fonts from?

Did you ever find an answer to this ? I’m curious as well. I want to just drag and drop into the frame without having to move the outline
you don't need the outline. It makes the image pop but it is not needed @@shelbel1129
When I try to bring into Canva my layers do not match up
I followed this exactly and it didn't work. :(
