    The whole video was useful but the comment on consuming pointless content at the end was the most valuable part.

    That ending is the biggest plot twist of 2023 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 genuinely surprised, the background felt very natural.
    Like other people are saying, your color grading is excellent. The pacing of your videos keeps me engage and I never feel like skipping through or leaving the video. Makes sense since you’re a commercial filmmaker!

    Loved this Nur! I am definitely one to skip storyboarding and find excuses. Some great examples you mentioned, I look forward to trying these out. Also, love this 16mm look, keeps everything visually interesting. Congratulations on the huge effort you put into your videos :)

    I'm a big fan of creating storyboards using photos especially using your phone and a directors viewfinder app (like Artemis, Cadrage). It makes communicating ideas so much easier, especially since I'm a terrible drawer 😂

      Cadrage is awesome indeed. Plus it helps to dial in the exact sensor size / focal length combo.

      But to me, drawing is the least aspect you need to know about storyboarding...what you need to know is tagging the board with the script...that's what I need to know.
      What I need to know, and haven't seen yet, is how to match every scene in story board with the script it's intended for, or line, or scene.

    First, just want to say, fantastic channel! As someone who always had a passion for film, I find myself stuck as I graduated with a computer science degree. It's inspiring to your success with a semi-unrelated degree. Once your created a portfolio to show, how did you get about finding work? Are there any resources you would recommend for learning about this?

    • @nur-niaz
      @nur-niaz  ปีที่แล้ว

      finding work as a director is a very complicated matter. but it's about who knows you. getting yourself out there and making sure that producers know you and your work is key.

  • @solefinder3708
    @solefinder3708 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Script to board is what's often lacking in these videos...or the connection between them.
    1. Do you first have to break the screenplay into shots, before adding a story board?
    I mean is there a order of sequence to doing this?
    2. What if your screenplay isn't to the 'shot' parts yet? Can you still story board without that process complete?
    3. Do you have to label or match each board with a particular scene in the script? As in tagging?
    How closely does the storyboard have to match the script?
    I'm not so much interested in the art or drawing part as I am in the organization part, so that someone can match what's on the board with a specific scene in the script...to me, that's what people need to know, especially those trying to pitch their screenplay to a studio.
