after playing through some of the Arcade Modes, Missions and versus matches I can definitely say that you guys did a pretty bangin' job and I'm definitely excited to see what the future holds
See this is why I love the fighting game genre Because it doesn't matter how bad, cheap, or good the quality of the game, if the game has amazing mechanics, and an amazing online, then as long as you enjoy it then it is going to be a good time
Wish I could tell you the game had all of that, but unfortunately adding any sort of online play isn't feasible for us due to the inherent flaws of the Unity engine (and a lack of proper planning to be able to work around said flaws). Sorry :') Hope you can still enjoy the game despite this though!
Seeing Shaz thrown as a part of Johnson's super was BY FAR the funniest part of brainstorming his guest appearance in this game 🤣 I love Guy's taxi and Shiverskull's cannon super, aesthetically they are my favourite. Shout out to Ember's crash land super too!
i would kill to have rattle bone's head keep looking forward during his spinning move, like his skull keeps popping off his spine to watch his opponent

I love how Shoto is literally Kung Fu Man from MUGEN with superpowers. I can't be the only one who can't unsee Kung Fu Man when they see Shoto. Also, for as "creative" as this game is pretending to be, seeing so few non-humans is disgraceful. It feels like the roster could have been way more diverse than it was, with the truest non-human literally having "Evil" in his name, implying he's a villain. Such a letdown. Also, the fact that Johnson summons a Shark Dude is an extra bit of insulting. Where are all the non-humans? Not everyone wants to play as a human. Some people would actually love to play as a shark or a lizard or something.
Johnson, Shaz (the sharkman), and Evilobster are actually all guest characters from Schwarzerblitz, another indie fighting game! Ember is also a guest character from Hyper Team Recon, and Shoto Goto (an alt. costume for this game's Shoto) is from HYPERFIGHT
@@baalfgames5318 Shaz is playable in Schwarzerblitz, which is free (genuinely free there's no microtransaction shit) and also has other non-humans like a dino with a gun. Also despite the name Evilobster isn't evil, well he did work for the mob but when he got the chance he went and became a wrestler instead, hard to get a deep read on his morality since he can't talk.
There's actually an octopus man as a costume for Guy, as well as we're hoping some of the background characters like the hawk biker npc to be characters one day.
Considering the game is made by two people with no budget, the game is for free and they can add characters seasonally, I think it works for them. Especially with all the extra stuff like costumes they're adding on top of everyone and even alternate characters with unique animations over those characters.

Ngl really liking the style of this game. It's a nice charming and simple toony style.
Also loving all the fun references here and there.
