I recently discovered your channel. I have been really impressed. You know your stuff. Youâre good at adding graphics and editing on your videos. You have good pacing and you love the hobby. I appreciate this video. I went all in on series 2 like I did with series 1. I did well with series 1. I was hoping for some better rookies when I went all in but Iâm still super excited. Nothing better than opening a case of jumbos with a new flagship on the day of release.

@westernnycards just getting back into the hobby. The modern game is a bit Foreign to me as I've been more of a vintage and junk era collector.
How does one get hobby cases? Are they worth it versus retail buying?
IMHO if a person is bitching about a certain product or rookie class they are probably in it for the wrong reason! Personally I collect because I enjoy it and it keeps me busy and out of trouble!!! I always say if you're in it for only the money then don't waste time and just collect dollar bills or 20'$ or whatever.?.? People need to either do it for the love and fun or whine about it to someone that cares because I'm not one who does! Topps makes awesome product, nothing is perfect but they aren't trying to hurt or rip people off their just trying to make baseball cards!!!

Yeah usually you were guaranteed 3 per blaster, looks like tougher to pull now. I think that increases value of fanatics exclusive blasters and hanger boxes slightly

Awesome preview video! I'm excited to add a ton of new cards to my collection, I'm gonna need a bigger house, lol.ð I'm confused why they still have Brandon Crawford on a Giants card? I hate that they let him go, but I was kind of looking forward to having a card of him as a Cardinal. ðĪ I agree with everything you said about Jung Hoo Lee, really want him to do well but he just had shoulder surgery, we won't get to see til next year.ðĨ

You make some great point! Baseball card collecting is global. And the set is not all about rookies. First topps flagship card in a Dodgers uni is a big card in a parallel!

I know this isn't the place for it, but if it helps people, here are the hits from my two Chrome Platinum hobbies today:
Box 1 - Jose Canseco Orange /25, Eddie Mathews Gold /50, Corey Seager Fuschia Lava /100, Michael Massey RC Blue Mini Diamond /199, both Jordan Walker and Logan O'Hoppe RCs Logofractor /499 and my autograph was Brice Turang's RC
Box 2 - Bo Bichette Rose Gold /75, Josh Bell Toile Cream /75, Derek Jeter Green Wave /99, Brayan Bello RC AUTO /99 (It's a Blue/White border and not listed), JP Sears Speckle /150, Logofractors of JP Sears (again) and Chipper Jones. X-Fractor was Devers. That Bello auto interests me. Not a Sawx fan, but I know they like his stuff, the card is really good looking and a numbered auto is always a plus.
Anyway, 8 hits per box. $120 at my LCS.
I love this year's Platinum Chrome. It's worth the $120, in my opinion. Great pulls brothsr

So, comped those 16 cards this morning. The Brayan Bello doesn't have a blue toile comp. Only a blue comp, which sold at $80. I put the blue toile at $99, because I they seem to go higher. Other than that, straight median comps. 5 cards, $210. The other 11 hits would be workers. That's damn good value, and not counting the Jackie Robinson, Ohtanis, etcs of the base cards you'd have to nickle and dime.
I might buy a blaster or 2 but I'll be ripping more of the update for sure. Kinda wish they would show an image of each insert because sometimes u just don't know what u got

Great preview. I was waiting for you to post something because youâre absolutely right, lots of people down on series 2. Still undecided on what Iâm opening. I donât want to miss out on the Fanatics blasters but the jumbo hobby boxes are tempting.
I went with jumbo hobby, and a small order of fanatics blasters. Iâll also prob shoot for a hanger case because Iâve had so much luck with those lol see you tonight man!
My favorite pull was a vladdy 2019 rookie acetate card. Another guy got the Rutschman acetate out of a 2023 hobby series 1. If they add that to retail that would be cool but people would find out stock day and grab all the boxes.

Wilyer Abreu has gotta be one to look for. Heâs putting up ROY numbers. Heâs a stud in the outfield, super solid at the plate. Guy gives 200% every game. He needs more love nationally. Heâs gonna be a sleeper hit.

@@westernnycards last week he was 1st in AL rookies in AVG, XBH, Total bases and OPS. And then 3rd in RBIs and Runs. Iâm just always surprised everyone skips over him. Poor guy is having an awesome rookie season and no one seems to care outside of Fenway lol! But yeah, Iâm gonna be looking for his stuff.

All Star inserts get an A+ from the junk wax old heads. I've never pulled a Heavy Lumber. Convinced they don't exist. Ryan Howard, Jimmy Rollins and Chase Utley. At one point in baseball, you couldn't put together a better 1st/2nd/SS combo. Those three were insane. I always wanted David Wright on that Phillies team. Utley and Wright may have been my favorite two players back then. (Tell no one I said I liked a Met)
