Hurt the whole team dynamic. Karl Malone and Gary Payton signed with Lakers because of Shaq. Kobe didn’t want to be “Pippen” to Shaq’s “Jordan”. The 3-peat Lakers were Shaqs team. Everybody knew it. Kobe didn’t like it. He wanted to be the man. Too bad egos fucked it up. Could have won another 2 together.
Kobe was better then Shaq post that 2002 title and even Shaq says he regrets not treating him like he did Dwade in Miami and handing the torch to him and be 2nd option and get his 25+PPG 10Rebs but his ego would not allow they are both 50/50 responsible for the break up
