I never understood the Katie Cassidy thing. In fact, in David Cassidy's book that he wrote in 1994, he never even mentions his daughter and the circumstances in which she was born. Did he know about her when she was born?
David wasn't ready for a child when sherry got pregnant with Katie. His career was also really taking off so he couldn't be around when Katie was growing up. He then became jealous of Katie's success in acting . I'm surprised as David was so hurt by his fathers jealousy of him. History certainly repeats itself sometimes.
Totally agree! Firstly his career was not on the uprise in 86 when she was born more like on decline and of course he was aware of her birth as hit hit with a paternity suit - and Katie very much alive today! Weird she was t mentioned in that book - in his 2007 she is and tells if their close relationship which I think went sour in or around 2012 when he started drinking again

He was her biological father, but he never brought Katie up . Katie was brought up by her mother Sherry and Step father Richard .

Yep he knew. He had a relationship with Katie's Mom spanning 20 years off and on.
