On the Impractical Insider bit that aired after the show, TruTV showed the production crew painting over the mural with blue paint after the filming was completed. That's a shame, because I seriously believe that the mural would've been a great tourist attraction.
I think they have to do it since that thing can cause serious damage to the city if they kept that.

This is an art piece to demonstrate your power as a town and it will stand for your power once you take it into your own hands as a town and completely overwrite my creation."
Or something along the lines. You know what I'm getting at here I'm sure. Basically inviting them to transform his vulgar art into something of their own as a team.
Lmao I’d like to see you do that, after being blindsided with that mural, in front of what looks like hundreds of pissed off locals, for ruining the mural that they all came to see. I love Q's punishments--always artistic: art gallery with inappropriate pictures, mural punishment, fashion show, musical, mime,
and yet the saddest thing for the whole show is the one that Q got to cross out all the painting made by kids.

Fun fact: 2 years after the video took place the mayor was primary by the city council woman who you can see at 2:43 After he got primary out he tried to run as an independent but the council woman beaten him again in the general election making her the next mayor of Dover
