      I asked under general comments but is there a way to add a second bed or does the dinette turn into a bed? I’d imagine that would have been shown if so :)

    • @DoesSizeMatter
      @DoesSizeMatter  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@MusicLover-kf1cw Yes we did respond to the other comment but yes the dinette does make down to a bed. We do say 'it makes down' and no we don't show the beds being converted in every video, just some. We generally just mention it. The cool thing is that if you get in contact with Escape they will take you on a live video call and show it to you. Hope that helps. thanks for watching.

    We had a 2007 Escape 17B and recently upgraded to a 2020 Escape 19. We looked at other manufacturers before upgrading and nothing compared to our old Escape 17B. Escape was great to deal with and because of Covid we had it delivered to Ontario. Quality is top notch and didn’t have one issue. The 19 tows behind my Tundra like it’s not even there. Size does matter, the size is perfect.

    quick question about the windows. We are ordering blackout covers for our Escape 19 2023. We need to know the radius of the corners of the windows. Escape Trailers was not able to help us. Do you know what the radius is?

    Great trailer when our biggest complaint are the plastic clips holding up the baggage doors. Now we want one of these...along with the LTV B+, the class A, and of course the adventure van for everyday use. Great review as always, you guys are costing us a lot of money.

      Check out the Escape construction video th-cam.com/video/wt5gN-pqmY8/w-d-xo.html we do talk about some options for colder weather use like heating pads and undercarriage foam for more insulation. Without those options we would say it would not be good in freezing temps but with A/C it could manage fairly well in hotter temps. Their website tells you all of the options you can choose from and they are super helpful one on one. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching.

      We hear your point and we certainly aren't the fibreglass specialists but it would be nice if they could figure out a way put magnets on the side. I’ve kind of fallen in love with molded fiberglass trailers.

    Thanks for this awesome tour. I've been a bit in love with the Escapes since I saw Slim Potatohead's rig. It kind of reminded me of the 1970's 18' Scotty that I grew up camping in. I can't (currently) afford an Escape so I just bought a 1975 15'Scotty HiLander that I'll be giving a bit of tlc.

    The E19 is essentially the same thing as my 1981 Trillium 5500 but 1ft longer so a bit more interior storage space. Escapes are built almost exactly like Trilliums were in the 70s/80s, some of the Trillium design flaws corrected (belly band among others). Very nice trailers!

    • @DoesSizeMatter
      @DoesSizeMatter  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This is a good question and we don't really know. It is possible that the 19' had more options but we aren't really sure. We would suggest to go bigger if you can tow it. They aren't that much different than one another and the little extra space does not translate into harder to drive with or park. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching.

    Fridge with freezer is little small for fishing camping.

    • @DoesSizeMatter
      @DoesSizeMatter  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most RV fridges will be too small for freezing your catches while out fishing, unless you are in a very large RV anyways. We would suggest you bring a portable fridge/freezer unit for the fish and use what is in your RV for food. Unfortunately, RVs are always a give to get scenario, if you want the smaller RV you get smaller appliances and can fit into more remote or smaller places but if you want bigger appliances you will have to have a bigger RV that won't fit into those same kinds of places. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching

      Hey there glad you are here. We love helping buyers find the right RV for them. If you scroll down in the description of the video the link to the Escape Trailer website is there, click that and it will give you a whole bunch more info and you can also contact them by phone and they will go over the entire process of buying an Escape trailer with you. Buying from Escape is different then others because you are buying factory direct instead of from a dealership. They will help you understand the shipping choices to get the trailer to Maryland for you and they do have a cool program for you to get to see an Escape trailer in person too. Good Luck with your purchase. Let us know how it goes.

      Hello, thanks for inquiring about the Escape 19. And thanks to Denise for jumping on here and answering this and every other question asked! We really value these reviews they've done of our trailers. Denise has it correct in her reply. Buying an Escape direct from us is a slightly different process than going to a lot and choosing what's available. It sounds like you've chosen the Escape 19 as the model that suits you well. That's great, it's our most popular model for many reasons. The next step is to get your deposit in as soon as possible. As of today (1.18.22) an order on an Escape 19 would put the completion date around October 2023. That may be sooner, and there's lots of info on the website explaining the ordering process and the possibilities of the timeline moving faster. The deposit to secure your production slot is $2,000 USD and $2,500 CAD. Once that is done, you'll have lots of time to learn about all the options and personalization choices available. We typically start working with you on finalizing your build sheet 4-5 months out from the actual delivery date. I'll add a few links below, the first one goes directly to our deposit page. The other links will direct you to some video we've created to help purchasers in the process of buying an Escape. If you have any questions, please contact our sales team directly at sales@escapetrailer.com

    Why is it that campers always come with low end solar panels? At the overall price upgrading to a high efficiency panel for $150 more seems to be a no-brainer. What am I not getting?

    • @DoesSizeMatter
      @DoesSizeMatter  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We can't answer why manufacturers choose the panels they do but we can tell you that with Escape you are able to have whatever you want. Because they build so custom you would be able to choose something different if you want. Click on the link in the video description to their website and you can contact them. I am very confident they would be able to give you the panels you want with very little trouble. They do it with things like flooring so why not solar panels. Hopefully that helps you out. The most important spec is never mentioned on any of these reviews. Insulation. Give up a few inches interior to get a high R value. Essential forcall season living.

    • @DoesSizeMatter
      @DoesSizeMatter  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Insulation is always mentioned in the construction video for each brand of RV and we always link to those videos and mention them multiple times in each floor plan video, so it's important to make sure you have all of the facts before commenting. As for R value we agree with you that thicker walls are better insulated walls. The problem with R values in RVs is they are not calculated like a house is. There are different products that manufacturers assign R value numbers to that don't really have an R value. These products do help with heating and cooling but don't actually have an R value. This all leads to very inconsistent information and each manufacturer trying to make their product look the best but the truth is that R value numbers are only informative if they are calculated and compared in a consistent way. So the important details when determining if an RV will be an extended season RV are wall thickness, enclosed and heated underbelly and valves, type of windows, any wood in floors or ceiling and any of those extra products helping the insulation like the foil sheets. Hopefully this helps. Thanks for watching

      @@DoesSizeMatter I said "most important spec" means top of the list, number one. @@7CAJONEZ We totally get why you think insulation is such an important spec and we agree but 'being the most important' is your opinion, for others it may not be. We can't speak for other video creators but our channel does explain insulation on each brand we do and we offer that info in every video so there is no down playing or hiding of any information. Remember we are completely unbiased reviewers with no affiliation with dealerships or manufacturers so we have no need to hide or down play any information. We do the research and then we share it with you. Hope that helps.
