Chróścice in 5 minutes (part 20): Chróścice lived on osier

At the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century, several hundred families in Chróścice lived from osier. Some had willow plantations, others cut the willow branches and brought in the harvest. Some weaved basketry at home, others in manufacturing plants. Some sold the basketry locally, others throughout the country. At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, Chróścice lived from osier.
