Unlike us who were rich but still married because we heard from relatives that they were nice people and respect everyone. WE didn't know they were from Influential people, (had connections in the court, government, every police station). Luckily, the greedy relatives were kicked out of the house and ignored as soon as marriage was done. Dowry was demanded in subtle way after Roka. So parents were scared and didn't wanna break off (conservative family). We just gave and gave in the relationship and were abused. For real. When I almost died, my parents still tried to resolve the issue (apparently we still don't know why we were treated like this, the abuse and stuff). We were threatened, hit, even my parents with guns and all. Unfortunately nothing happened. We were broken due to their power show, and were humiliated even in Court. All the good judges were replaced, and all the bad ones didn't care and dismissed our case because it sounded too "fake". How could educated, city girls be harassed and abused. There's soooooo much, their case reminded that I was scared again. Now the case is still going (they filed defamation against us), even when we had proofs (not all because we never expected something like this would happen and we weren't vloggers). but yeah. that's that. You can never win against people who have connections.

The world is watching this case, end result of this will show if there is really any change in the so called “new india” or everything is just a political hype.
