This looks incredible. How long was this game in development?

Almost 14 years, yes I know it's a lot, but lately the development has been sped up, with a whole cycle being completed in 2 weeks. Immudelki, the creator of IFSCL is already working on the next cycle (4.7.X). He hopes to release 4.7.X in April
