50:03 using Heartless Act before the connive resolved was the right play, but since Toluz uses old oblivion ring wording, you teeeechnically want to use any other removal spell one priority pass later - so the "return the exiled card" trigger returns nothing, *then* the "exile that card" trigger resolves.
damn, i'm gonna be so sad when this "vacation" ends. Historic Brawl just has such a varied meta game (well, maybe outside of hell queue) and these videos are just so much more interesting for me

I’d love to see your take on Geralf, visionary stitcher. It’s pretty easy to play cheap walls and turn them into giant flying zombies, but with all of blue at your disposal, I’m sure you could do some cool stuff with it
Watched the tournament of historic brawl, great casting, great commentary, and wow, surprisingly no Tasha, she wrecks tef all day. But really fun games. Keep the brawl content coming
Been running this list for awhile ended up taking corrupt out replaced it with meat hook to deal with thrun who kept just running through my lines also nice for skitterfang and other go wides
It's funny how complaining about alchemy in historic has become a bigger meme then alchemy actually being in historic. I'm over it. They arent going to throw away the investment that easy. Making the mm pools even wider is somthing they don't want to do so they won't.
I managed to break the game a week or so ago in standard. Cradle Clear Cutter gives one mana per power when tapped Blanchwood armour gives 1 power per forest Awaken the woods gives 1 forest per mana - 2 You can repeat this multiple times in a turn with Keldon strike team enables forest tokens to tap when created Shore up untaps cradle to give additional mana I used blue cards like academy wall, consider, cut your losses, Lier, and teferi to make it easier to find all the puzzle pieces but I would love to see a more consistent version of this casual deck.
Awsome content especially with no alchemy cards that’s just an added bonus, it makes it a little bit more skill inclined, must say that every time paradox engine hits the board the content quality just plummets, if you enjoy it then cool but I havnt seen it so far, keep up the interesting mix of commanders (maybe try Toluz or Ishinn Two heavens as one) so far the Histpric Brawl holiday is awesome… maybe pioneer … 🎉🎉

Yeah I think you let them connive, then the trigger to exile that card goes on the stack and that’s when you kill it, so now they’ve discarded a card they think they will get back but instead it gets exiled

I love Gix. The matches where I've won by using their own cards against them. It feels so evil. By far my favorite play, was playing their own invoke despair and phryxian Fleshgorger for free.
The only way I’ve been able to get any consistency with Jodah is running Valki, God of Lies as your only 2 (or less) CMC legendary. Then any 3 drop after Jodah gets the transformed Tibalt, and often a concession. Then you just run 5c ramp goodstuff to get to Jodah and protect him ASAP
The goat has 0 power, thus it wouldn't deal combat damage (see rule 510.1a of the comprehensive rules if you want to verify) - which is what Gix cares about for the trigger. Thus attacking with the goat wouldn't have given an additional trigger.

Should have swapped the Shadowspear off Gix, to make it a 3/3 and dodge the giant killer's chop down, onto the Underdog. That was the line at 6:15.
You can't equip at instant speed so this wouldn't have been possible

Yeah I think you let them connive, then the trigger to exile that card goes on the stack and that’s when you kill it, so now they’ve discarded a card they think they will get back but instead it gets exiled

Not killing the Tajic was so bad. If you kill the Tajic, they basicalyl out of the game no matetr what unless they topdeck good spells.
